Funny, they don't show a person doing this? My futon raised about an inch with matress on and gets stuck/stiff and will not continue to bend. If I remove the heavy mattress it folds easily. This is a complete design flaw. I do not recommend DHP products do to my experiance with a futon that I have to remove the matress everytime to fold back into a couch. Should'nt be that difficult!

Do not buy! I am 60 and can never fold back into the couch position with out removing the heavy matress first. It fold's easily without the mattress but with the mattress on it becomes stiff and will not bend in the middle. Funny this video dosn't show a real person folding and un folding it. There is a reason for that. It stinks

Someone is going to get hurt with how much force needs to bw applied and how angled the #8 screws are when going in. Would be cheaper than the eventual injury claim to just make decent holes.

Yeah I have a habitat version and the instructions were really not clear with these plastic locks, which are somewhat similar. Thanks.

So I'm having alot of problems with the screw holes. I can't get them in. What can I do

so many holes and not much screws , i spent three hours trying to figure out this crap ,at the end i just did it my way and will see how it will go after .

We had this bed for 8yrs. Just a this year's it's been breaking at the joints of the poles and screws coming loose ... Trying to take apart the back from the part the mattress lays on is impossible... So I can't get those two pieces that are still attached out of the room . 😬😫

I'm subletting and have one of these in the room, it is awful. It sinks in the middle. Lower back pain for the first time in a while, had to sleep on floor. I can't just throw the thing out or I'll lose my deposit, as it it is it just takes up space.

Do you need to pull it away from the wall to lay the bottom bed flat? Or can it stay pushed tight to the wall?

Do you have access to the manual on which screws to put where? I have different sizes and don't know which ones to put where. I'm assuming the video is telling me but I'm not sure which number goes with which screws as the bed is not straight out of the package..

I've had this daybed for a few years and it's wonderful, but don't lose the assembly instructions. Trying to enter the name and model number on DHP Website results in a dead link and the PDF will not download.

Where can I find the plastic caps

The Mechanisms for my unit are the different from the ones in the video. Mine are featured in the Booklet 3273098 on page 3 and are labled T612380 and T612390.

I bought this bed for my son and the futon mechanism bent on first use and doesn’t work. It’s a bad designed bed. I don’t recommend it bc there is no fix. I’m returning mine.

Whoever designed this needs to be slapped in the damn face. Can’t remove them without breaking the plastic inserts, did they expect people to buy this and never move their bed again? For anyone looking for an answer, good luck. I have bend, tear, mcgyver my way into re assembling it. Pain in the ass.
