Knee on top control, to arm wrap, to a roll into arm extractions! No one does it like us. The pelvis and skull are very strong and can hold hundreds of pounds of pressure!

Weapon retention option with straight blade
The way you isolate the arms is great. You do this with a reverse knee on belly, but you can also use these steps for arm isolation with dual leg hooks and flattening out your opponent with your hips.
Amazing technique, thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you so much, these videos have helped me a lot as a Rookie Police Officer.
It’s fun, I used to help the academy train and we had a good time
Tickling might work 😂😂😊😊
"Hey Easy Bro!"
lol 😂right
🔥
Aint no way hes out running jay in those kicks, hes like the wind baby
This is a great technique for the extraction which most of the time is not an issue, the problem is if they are resisting to begin with they will hold on to the steering wheel with all of their might.
Nice!
this is from 2019 but filmed with a digital camera from 2005
At 0:09 pull and shoot his arms will line up a thoracic center mass shot.
Do you consider that sequence a fine motor movement, a complex motor movement or a gross motor movement? Thank you in advance for your answer.
I definitely wouldn't keep him in a closed guard. Disengage
Sometimes you can’t especially if he is holding your weapon which is attached
If trying to control the suspect, a closed guard gives you an easily defensible position while the suspect expends energy. As long as the two key conditions are met, 1. Are they hurting me and 2. Are they getting away, controlling the suspect becomes a tactical problem that guard is pretty good at solving in one on one situations.
Hmmm
Cool
Have you found that holding just holding the fingers is effective when someone’s actively resisting?
Yes high percentage, nothings a 100 percent obviously
I’m a solid 280lbs. That’s not gonna work. Plus it puts the officer in a bad spot if he drives off or breaks loose. I have a way better technique.
Share it then
What’s the technique? Don’t just say it???
I'm not touching my face to some crackheads face. I think I'll stick to sweeps, slams and throws lol
It would be my face, but that’s your choice.
@@jaywadsworth4285 don't capitalize on the typo to distract from the fact that you're teaching officers to touch their faces to a suspects face. That's gross and a health concern. Most have picked at their face and have oozing scabs and pimples. Plus blood and sweat. I'm not touching that sir. Also, I fixed the typo lol
At 1:51 , DO NOT HAND THE GUN BACK TO HIM WHEN TRAINING WEAPON DISARMS , your subconscious is going to internalize that action and under adrenal stress you will give the gun back to the criminal assailant.
Show me one live incident that occurred ??
@@jaywadsworth4285 Analogy, circus knife thrower tried to kill his wife and missed.
That's stupid. Just uppercut and cross him to the face and he'll be asleep. Then cuff him while he's unconscious.
That’s an untrained response. One punch usually doesn’t knock someone out. Good luck with that bro
@@jaywadsworth4285 I've done it plenty of times. There are plenty of 1 punch videos out there to see. But I'll just agree to disagree sir.
The hell is this awful video format??
Thanks, you really spiced up my sex life
I’m playing this year hope we doing shirts again
I carry a pistol appendix with a colonel blade knife on my weak side centerline.
That technique works if the agressor is pointed a sub compact pistol or a snubby revolver?According to Richard Nance (Gunfight book and videos) first of all the wrist of the attacked must be grabbed at same time that the Defender moved from the X,or line of fire.
Yes you just have a shorter area to grab. On a handgun grabbing the wrist first can get you shot. I’ll grab the wrist but it’s either secondary
Moron there is no such thing as cooperative handcuffing this absolute Bullsh!! no one wants to be handcuffed you meathead and look how he is cooperating and still this thug has to manhandle him ridiculous This would definitely be used in a unlawful detainment situation along with the accompanying Bullsh !! Statement For my protection
It cut off.
Why are there not more comments on this?! This is how I carry, and for good reason. This is important information. I’m shocked there’s not more views and comments on this. Thanks for raising awareness. 👍
Great technique and makes sense however against an actual resisting opponent it will not work unless you are a very proficient grappler and have the assistance of a second person to secure the legs.
Where is you’re school located ?
South glens falls apple avenue
Is it a kind of reverse kimura grip to make a biceps slicer?
Kinda
Nice
But he can grab your ballz? Hopefully the suspect doesn’t. 😝
Thanks, instructor! So useful!
Jay Wadsworth has a great instructional DVD on leglocks. The Ashi Leglock System.
This is exactly what i was looking for Finally Nobody can take my gun When I'm at school
Awesome chanel dude, thanks
this works on little guys what about big islander boys
Sometimes it works better against the big guy. It’s the flexible ones that cause issues.
NYC is a shit show on anything. It will change after tool dependent excessive forces spike
@Jay Wadsworth Purchased your instructional from Effective self defense. I tried this in my officer safety assessment today, but his arms just wouldn’t pop out- his head was all the way out to the side too, but I just couldn’t get the space to shoot in for the wrist ride. He was a very big guy and was keeping his arms super tight underneath him. Any suggestions? I had to resort to using my baton as a lever, but would prefer to do it with my hands where possible.
@@Trails_Ales_and_Sigma_Males email me wadz186@gmail.com Can you send video of you doing it
00:16 mark and in July of 2020, you will be charged with assault in New York City.
very good
How do you deal with the seatbelt interfering with the extraction?
Cut it
I've found myself going from sleeve and collar to this sleeve and behind the elbow grip and thinking, "Man...this is a powerful control...now what the hell do I do with it?" Now I know...Just bought your course on BJJ fanatics. Looking forward to viewing it later today. Thanks Jay.

This is amazing stuff, Jay! Thank you for sharing!
Clear path to a perfect toehold 🤷
Love your channel been a minute since you posted anything glad your back. I am in Law Enforcement and recently got into BJJ for about 6 months now but we don’t work on takedowns just ground work. Could you post some more stand up take down options. Would appreciate it. Thanks.
Trained that today. It is effective...
