Nice well maintained 1460
Its French assembled . Has the Air screen at the back instead of the side and cab filter on right hand side so the driver doesn't get a dust bath when shutting the door. Also twin window wipers (handy for those times we harvest in the rain ?) . They also came out with the bigger DT466 motor which was a major plus. Would you by any chance have the owners manual for it as Id love to by a copy off you ?

our '79 1460 (aka beastmaster) has been in the family through three generations of farmers as of today. I finally bought it off my old man. Hell of a tough machine, still prefer it over the new 1660
This is the first 14 series I've seen with the air screen mounted in the rear and the cab air cleaner on the right side of the cab like the 16 series. Was this a over seas thing?
You could pull 5 head furrow with that power.I like that machine

thats a very nice 956 all it misses is the original klifa muffler then it would soun perfect
trust me i have drove my share of john deeres and no i am a mechanic for a john deere dealer and you just cant beat the dear as a new tractor

@fordsonadam1 never buy a john deere thats the worst peace of cr*b you can ever buy! and i know that because i have driven my share of those ugly jd's! always go for the red :P Red usually means Power and Quality
@Bo94DK a massey them things havent enough power to pull my fore skin back the 956 is a weapon but now the only tractor to compete is a john dog
