Конечно теперь можно плести огромные изделия, но данное изделие можно было бы сплести и на меньшем валике, перевернув его на 90 градусов😂
Зачем так мучиться, давным давно сделала себе два больших валика из синтетического волокна от старых подушек, плотно набила. Валики легкие, иголки легко вставляются, держатся прекрасно, делать просто.

My bobbin lace pillow we call the water heater is not quite that long but it hold a full Russian table cloth. We used a cement tube wrapped in exercise mats and wrapped in pollystieren they use for under hard wood floors. I can life it because it is lighter weight than saw dust. Thank you for the video.
Ich habe mir im Erzgebirge auch einen größeren Klöppelsack gestopft. Mit Heu und in der Mitte mit einem Ziegelstein. Es war sehr anstrengend und ich hatte nicht so starke Helfer, der Sack ist ca. 0.80m lang, erspart mir aber das Umstecken der Klöppelarbeit. Liebe Grüße

I would love a hand-made much smaller pillow for myself. How blessed to have the ancestors who taught their children and their children's children how to do this magnificent craft. My parents came from Europe but the history of Jews is that they were not allowed to do their crafts. Sad, Sad, and Sad.

Beautifully created! Was a lot of hard work, but it was also very rewarding I feel for sure! The patterns were beautiful, as are the work on them by mostly two lovely women! Some day I hope to be able to afford the supplies and tools needed and learn to make bobbin lace! It is so beautiful and lasts forever if you take proper care of it! I already crochet, cross point, latch hook, embroidery, & sew. I am learning to knit & needle tat. I have trouble learning to shuttle tat, but will try many more times & will not give up. Thank you all for helping to keep this beautiful skill alive!

Wow, My grandparents came to the U S A in 1908. Unfortunately, my dad created problems so we didn't get to know his 2 sisters or the rest of his family until much later. I knew Grandma Mathilda Falle Petchnick did a lot of hand sewing but I do not remember bobbin lace. I am very intrigued by it and want to learn. I do most everything except Tatting. I am so glad I ran across your video. I am Althea Petchnick Craig. I am searching for more of my history from Nova Stifta.
