I am curious about the details of the remote buying process. On which site was the truck listed? Did you negotiate the price with the seller before seeing it in person? How did you transfer the funds? (Hopefully you did not fly with a satchel of cash.) Would love to know how much you paid but I understand if you are not willing to share that info. I've seen your later videos and I am glad the truck is working so well for you.

Would have thought Alcan springs would be tougher than that. Hope Alcan gave you a warranty for it. I was about to go with Alcan on my 4x4 camper but went with Deaver suspension because it is local to SoCal to save in shipping fees.

Always use a "food grade" hose for filling your water tanks. Doesn't matter where I go, I ALWAYS use my own hose to fill my tank, even if there is another hose already there.

I drive so slowly when we have to drive dirt. I’m amazed how fast other overlanders go but our Promaster is doing well on a diet of slow and steady. Well repaired in Baja with a good attitude. Cheers from the Cordillera Blanca in Peru (look up Cañon Del Pato for a truly gross road we survived).

You were so lucky to break down where you did and got back on the road so quickly. We had three breakdowns in quick succession due to electronic issues in our Canter, that totalled two months off the road, with all the stress and expense that goes with that.

Heather & Dana, Thank you for the informative content. I am curious to know if the builder of your overland dwelling also did the work on your truck. If I understood correctly, the wrong leaf springs were installed on the truck when it was first built out as an overland vehicle. Overall are you happy with your chassis or would you choose something different if you could start over.

As a native Las Crucen I thoroughly enjoy when people come explore our great out of doors areas. Especially our Organ Mountains. I’m in the railroad Texas to New Mexico and this is actually very common for ranchers to get territorial with campers and overlanders and even railroaders wondering away from the tracks to get quick exploring.

I go out to Organ Mts often to spend the night. I really am happy with this area so many places to go to out here and explore and then so many places close by whether it's desert or mtn areas. Am ready to head north to unseen parts of NM to explore.

Great job. You probably have some, but if not… snatch blocks are very useful. And with 3 blocks, you could even reverse winch with the front winch. I had a Sherpa on my military Pinzgauer. Loved it. Cheers from 🇨🇦

first time viewer. As a dog person myself it was refreshing to see ya'll let your dog run and explore on it's own; (barring disturbing others). Good video commentary. About the landowner, I fear that scenario as well on my small travels. When I do legally cross private property, (I check Gaia GPS, OnX maps & area mvum maps) I do so nonstop in a respectable manner. No dust trails, no zooming past / scaring livestock and no stopping. Ya'll got a very cool vehicle.

The Sheriff needs to talk to this guy as he gets older he may become more aggressive. I would definitely make a report as it may prevent someone from getting hurt one day.
