When I was about 15-16 living in suburban London and frequenting a local ballroom at which, Matt Monroe was scheduled to give a concert. We knew of him from tv performances and were were excited, However a few days before the concert he had an accident and broke his leg. Matt turned up as this very popular local dance club with one leg totally covered in a plaster caste and gave an amazing performance. I shall never forget him and his sweet amazing voice.
