Took my new (to me) hardtail out for an easy ride and thought I'd bring you along. These are supposed to come with Tektro brakes so I'm not sure how Shimano ended up on here, the previous owner said it came like that. Also has tubeless Maxxis tires and an upgraded RockShox Yari 130mm fork. Super sweet bike, can't wait to ride it some more.

Cabin filters should be changed every 10-15k miles, as you can see they trap a lot of dirt and can get plugged up reducing air flow into the cabin. Another problem these particular models have are wet cabin filters. How much would this service typically cost?
At first you only use 4 pins, then you have all the pins on the fliper? Can you tell me how to add the others?
if I don't have a voltage stabilizer, should I just hook it up to another vehicle?
Mobar told me they already programmed the key which I'm assuming it's the making of the dealer key. How do I confirm that before I try programming?
The oem gaskets on the rmz250 and rmz450 are metal thats why it didn't rip

I forgot to ask can you vacuum bleed the front brakes and the back?
The front brake bleeding. One step says remove the hose and fluid shoots out. What does your texh do on that step? Towels to block it?
What anout what about the next step. Linear valve reset? Does your scan tool not have that?
Their r no locating pins on these pistons. That's why the rings move.

Supporting the engine by the fucking oil pan… Jesus Christ. Crank pulley? Nah. Bell housing? Nah, the OIL PAN is the best, most reinforced spot to support the engine forsure. What the hell going thru your head man.
Looks like your removing tensioner pulley, tensioner etc. from underneath the car while it’s in the air. How did you support the engine after you removed the motor mount?
BTW, FelPro now makes an oil pan gasket for most, if not all, Honda V6 engines so it eliminates dealing with Honda Bond on that part of the job. It's their T series and I have one on my '98 CRV and I absolutely love it....they just don't leak. The one for my '05 Pilot is a little over $35 on RockAuto so that's the way I'll be going when I tackle this job in July. Great vid...thanks!
You need to wear eye protection when you're under there removing rusty exhaust components. I learned the hard way years ago....better safe than sorry.

Fixing the same issue, 96 4 runner, pressure gauge readings identicle. evap core fins were also 80% obstructed with debris. New exp. valve & evap core replacement.
Why not use chem dip to clean the pistons easily and fast ?
Never seen the need, only takes me about 5 minutes now to clean a piston but I'm sure it's probably a decent option.

In my experience, I've never had to do anything outside of what the scan tool guides me through.

did you have to do crank relearn procedure?
In my experience, after a timing belt job, I've never had to do that. Usually that's done after replacing the sensor.

My 98m camry has 250k and still hums quiter than a new car and all the parts were made proudly in Japan. unlike today's cars with parts made shamelessly in china or mexico or corea or some other 3rd world cesspool.

So you changed the timing belt at TDC and didn't advance 50 Degrees? This is doing my head in....who's right?
Not sure what you’re referencing but for what it’s worth, I’ve done dozens of these timing belts this way at this point in my career and they’ve all been in time when finished with the jobs.
Can you replace the fan without taking the radiator out ?
I’m currently working on my own a4 for both the fan and radiator, and so you gotta take out the radiator for sure since the fan is hooked up to it

I had nearly the exact same scenario. Bought my 2018 Subaru WRX Limited used with 44K on it. All during my test driving for about two days it was fine. No clutch slipping until about maybe 4500 RPMs if then. Bought it from a used car lot on a Friday and Monday morning I had it at the dealership. The reason was because of a chirping noise in the engine compartment, which was later determined to be the throwout bearing. When I did the complete thorough check that I did on this vehicle before buying,I noticed that the throwout bearing had been replaced at 31K and 34K. I just assumed that the previous owner was driving around with his foot on the clutch. And here I bought it at 44k, and had the same thing done. The dealership gave me “SUBARU goodwill“ and while they were in there, replaced the flywheel, friction plate, pressure plate, pilot, bearing and release bearing. I’ve had it back for a month, and now the chirping is back. No clutch slipping, just the chirping. Any ideas? And thanks for the great video. Keep up the good work!
Correct me if I'm wrong but.....aren't you just installing the same problem lol. The problem is the rings. And Toyota knows about it too on this model car. So swapping the engine you're just installing the same problem if you're not replacing those rings
You’re actually right. It was cheaper to replace the engine than to rebuild it and that’s what the customer chose to do. I would prefer to replace the rings.
@@SkillCollectors right? i mean especially since the engine is already out i mean it would make sense to replace the rings while its out. well hopefully it fixed the issue. mine does it too. some b12 chemtool fixed alot of issues but still its nowhere near the 1200 mile spec for a quart. im at about a quart every 500 miles rather than once a week now. so the b12 definitely helps.

The tab that pops off in the back, how do i keep it in? I also got a direct replacement but the spring and tube that go under that tab seal wont fit. The original had mpl on it and the replacement i got says exh
If the gear you bought says EXH on it then you have an exhaust cam gear. Intakes will say INT-RH/LH MPL on the face of the gear and have a MPL on the backside where the camshaft bolts in. Exhaust cam gears say EXH-RH/LH on the face of the gear and EXH on the backside.

Can I use rtv on oil pump?
No, the o-ring requires replacement. It's pressurized and will blow the RTV out.
Would it be easier to replace crank seal with the oil pump off?
I find it easier to do it with the pump installed. Makes getting the lip around the crank easier in my opinion.
