Nautilus salon iris interior view
zhlédnutí 40Před 3 měsíci
Interior view of the Nautilus salon and iris with hand drawn animation created but unused in the movie. The fish were a test by the Disney studio artists during the initial movie production. When Walt decided to make the movie live action instead of animated, this sequence was left out. I combined that animation with my 3D model of the salon iris and mounting. Modeled with Lightwave 3D.

looks great, but needs better lighting and textures. Great idea to reuse old footage like that. Try using smart materials with ao.
Thanks, but it looks like that because there are no textures at all yet. :)
I'm a little confused. Where has the hand-drawn animation and music come from?
I expanded the video description to better explain. 0:55
Fantastic!
Viewer: If you're wondering about the two images, the one on the left is the interior side; the one on the right is the exterior side. In other words, the exterior doesn't look the same as the interior.
To me, no J2 lift off is complete without Smith yelling out in pain.
The most incredible engine sound from any spaceship ever on TV or in the movies. Nothing compares. Go Jupiter 2!!
Great! Excellent work!
I am so glad Disney scrapped this for the storm version. No way they could have made it work nearly as well.
Very interesting, but it needed the darkness and rain to be convincing.
2:42-2:44 ...if only
First launch, the J2 glows. Only time it did. Why?
@Allen Edwards Some form of reactionless drive I’m thinking. Thought about this for many years until I started reading about UFO’s and that’s when I heard the term used to describe how many UFO’s apparently operated with such incredible speed and impossible agility- reactionless drive, meaning no chemical thrust used to move it.
Also, where the hell did they store the Chariot? 😅
The best spaceship sounds ever!!!!
So. Very. Lovely!
I was 7 when LIS first aired. Brings a tear to my eye
Will ALWAYS love and enjoy the original "Lost In Space"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magnificent sound effects from one the most MAGNIFICENT Sci-Fi shows ever made!!!!!!!!!!! Plus an added bonus with the first of many screams from the ever screaming DR Zachary Smith!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the first of many Dr. Smith Screams.
Dr. Smith's screams are legendary. And his Robot insults.
LIS had the very BEST spaceship sounds, all of the different ones!!!!! They still give me chills when I hear them after 100's and 100's of times....
How you do dat?

It's Blender and the Flip Fluids add-on. Very cool but mega compute times. These low rez tests took @ 6-10 hours to bake the motion, plus render times.
