I am nobody that should be here. Is this correct or way off? Manufacture-caused scission in a polymer composite, combined with non-climate-controlled shipping, can lead to delayed dimensional changes in the material, which may become apparent months or years after manufacturing. During production, the polymer composite might experience incomplete cross-linking or the presence of impurities. Initially, changes might take time to be evident or significant. However, the composite may be exposed to temperature fluctuations and extreme heat during non-climate-controlled shipping, exacerbating the degradation processes initiated during manufacturing. The scission reactions, accelerated by elevated temperatures in the shipping container, can progress slowly. The composite may undergo dimensional changes as the polymer chains weaken, leading to expansion or contraction. The combination of manufacture-caused scission and non-climate controlled shipping conditions can manifest dimensional changes months or years after the initial production. Manufacturers should ensure proper material selection, precise manufacturing processes, and quality control measures to mitigate this risk. Climate-controlled shipping containers can also help regulate the temperature environment during transit, reducing the potential impact of temperature fluctuations and heat exposure on the polymer composite. Proper material handling, storage, and transportation practices are crucial to preserving the dimensional stability and performance of the polymer composite over its intended lifespan.

Very detailed explanation. We are developing a product of silicon rubber (Polymer). This contact lens applicator. Earlier, a person through someone recommended compression mold, which we got made for 4 cavities each (for 2 products). The mold has THREE plates. Whereas you are talking about only TWO plate mold only. This product has a little bit of flexibility also. For a THIRD product, as recommended, we got made a TRANSFER MOLD, which probably you are referring to as FULLY POSITIVE MOLD in another video on Plastics (Compression molding). Our transfer mold is made of FIVE plates. I am not able to understand how the mold with somany plates, will be heated for curing silicon. Sir, Do you have any video on curing technology of Silicon rubber (polymer) of different hardness, telling approximate time period for curing, different curing/vulcanization agents, quantity used etc. Waiting for your guidance. I'm working with the local civil protection director to make a prototype of a torpedo style rescue floatation device to be donated and mounted on natural wood posts at our most historically dangerous beaches. These torpedoes are abusively priced ($150 USD), not available locally here in México and not available in all-natural materials but I'm working to change that. We need a local bioplastics supplier with materials well suited for this purpose with sheet plastic that can be manually heat-formed over a mold. And for a much larger scale impact, we need an estimate of the cost of mold that could be used with recycled plastics, bioplastics and biodegradable plastics also to injection mold them for us. If we can raise the funds to pay for the mold ourselves, the devices can be relatively very inexpensive which will make them very accessible and help save lives everywhere they're used.
