The Vintage Sports Car Club

Since 1934 the Vintage Sports-Car Club has become one of the world’s best regarded motoring clubs, organising around forty competitive and social events each year, from circuit racing, trials and rallies to touring assemblies, and hundreds of pub meets.
Events feature extraordinary cars from the Edwardian era (1905-1918), Vintage (1919-1930) and selected Post Vintage Thoroughbreds (1931-1940). 1950s Sports Racing Cars, Formula 3 (500), Formula Junior and Grand Prix Single Seater Racing Cars built before 1961 also compete at race meetings and many speed events.
Whilst the Club’s events embrace the competitive spirit, an over-riding social ethos gels the Club together so you can be sure to enjoy the company of like-minded people, whatever the event. With such a diverse range of motoring disciplines on offer there is plenty of scope to become involved.

A full flying lap onboard around Oulton Park at the Gold Cup in a GN (Godfrey Nash) Special. The VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club) attended the Gold Cup at Oulton Park 2023. This flying lap was undertaken by Tommy Waterfield from Tula Racing in his GN special - Harlequin. Video made in conjunction with Les Leston Products Ltd.
The Welsh Trial 2022

Every year, the Vintage Sports-Car Club visit Presteigne and the surrounding area for the Welsh Trial. Over the weekend, we visit Ralph's Cider Farm for our 'Badlands' sections and Cwm Whitton farm on Sunday, both allowing spectators to see the action. Good video. Nice to see the kids racing, nana getting a call from a race winner and the young lady in her Austin pedal car. The specials, the Prince Henry Vauxhall contingent and everyone else seemed to make a perfect weekend, from what I could see. Also great to see a display of Trojans. I have only seen them in books and videos but you need to include basic vehicles in order to pass on an appreciation of automotive history to a younger audience.

Hello Jane I am so glad that I came across this video as I have always been curious to find out who the person is that owned the Austin Healey I now own in Malta. I was watching the Prescott hill climb on line last Sunday when I heard your name and saw you zipping up the hill in your Fraser Nash. Looking through the VSCC website I came across this video and through this I have found a way to communicate with you to let you know that “your” Healey is being well looked after.
I'VE watched a few of your trials and hillclimbs lately and asked the brown car guys about coming from the colony's to play too. Thirty's cars are hard to find so I thought of building one using salvage yard parts ,no late model chassis stuff.Oak frame Toyota rear axel ,a small truck or tractor motor and trans and build the body myself to original spec wheelbase, even righty drivey. I know crazy blood colonist ! !
