Two baby great horned owls fell out of the nest at 7 days old, one was dead. The living owls eyes were not even opened yet. We cared for him for 2 weeks and then took him to a rehab facility. We think he had a couple of strokes from the 50 ft fall. After 3 weeks I picked him up because they have to relocate where they fell. I put the owl in an old nest about 20 feet up in the tree. Ferris Wheel Bird Feeder 2

This project started out to be a windmill bird feeder, but ended up being a birdhouse ferris wheel feeder. I made a stand for an old birdhouse my daughter gave me. I mounted an old bicycle hub inside the bird house on an L bracket. The Ferris wheel is made of quarter inch steel rods that are welded to a steel plate that is bolted to the bicycle hub.

Thread organizer with 503 spools. Made out of pine wood and pvc pipe that is painted. Double stacked on lazy susans with locking rolling casters. Wood dowels are put in with epoxy. If there is enough interest I can make a how-to-video.

Love ,Love it being a night owl myself , a few years back on a early spring Nebraska morning along side the Mighty Mo River I walked up on a huge Great Horned Owl (probably female due to large size) eating a bird she never missed a mouthful , speaking softly I just eased back & away snapping photos, few days later I went back gathered up the remains taking them to a Conservationists ( Game Warden) finding out that her breakfast was a Red Tailed Hawk NOTE to left of this comment is one the photos of her as my thumbnail

Great video, I moved to Hesperia in 76, started in construction doing drywall for I believe Floyd Baze on Main st in Hesperia. Drive by Jess Ranch from Apple Valley, there wasn’t much out there in between Apple Valley and Hesperia

That's a great idea. Like you said smaller rim & a few bolts sticking out of It.. Although Bolts may be too slippery for their claws to get a grip on? Dowelling could be attached easy enough..
