If it's welded does that officially change boat length registration vs. bolted? Same question for glassing on f.g, hull? Just curious.
That is pretty cool! I always wondered how that worked having something tied up on the river! Does it have pontoon floats underneath it?
Yes it does!
Looks like it was fun! I just acquired a 1436 a few months ago that I am fixing up. Plus a 9.8 that I just finished overhauling that runs like new now. I cannot wait to see what adventures it has in store. Will mainly be fishing fresh and salt BUT there are several lowland/cypress preserves near me. As in, I am surrounded by it. This video gets me excited. Thank you.

We were at the river yesterday and we didn't see any yellow flies. Thank goodness. They are bad everywhere else though.

Very cool. Make sure you document your progress in fixing it up. Two questions for now: 1.) How much do you have to run your generator? Is it basically to supplement your solar system keeping your batteries up? 2.) Can you just park a houseboat pretty much anywhere, or just certain areas? Good luck with your project!
The generator is only used for the air conditioner which typically is used at night. Everything else is on 12v and the solar panel takes care of that. We will use a small propane grill for cooking and a cooler to keep our food in since we will only be there on the weekends occasionally. The river we are on is mostly public water management land so as long as you are tied there it's good. I'm not sure about other places.
So kinda like what you would do in an RV. Gotcha.
I am going flush with the bottom of my boat. To 1/8” raise max. Mine are set to angle up when attached to my transom. I hear that if your transom angle is such that the pods won’t have a mild angle upwards towards the rear/along the bottom… then you need to move the pods up a bit higher when mounting. Tuesday Beavertail website has directions.

I've only been down it when it's flooded during duck season. Never tried fishing it
