I've heard Mountain played on Radio Caroline a bit recently, cant think of any other radio station that would do that.

I can hear this 1000 times, still gives me goose bumps. Listen to that chop by Leslie. THE BEST.

Talk about an underrated group. Sure they were acknowledged but not like they should have been. The big guy was perfect for rock and roll. Met him for a couple minutes when I was a kid and he had great vibes for music. Completely mellow with me being a kid and asking him questions until they became skiddish in which he just focused his self to someone else not downgrading not negatively just like if he was an electron made for a certain type of proton he would not deal with other protons that weren’t of his power. Completely respected him for being like that instead of answering with gibberish or laying off on it like it meant nothing to him. Yep, perfect for rock. Not snobbish or disrespectful and had great vibes that he carried. It’s like meeting someone you know what they do because it feels like they do it.

I actually stole "Mountain Climbing" March 7, 1970 On the back cover it said "This album was made to be played loud" Never forgot that...still here listening June 18, 2024
