Torsten M. Abel is a german musician and composer addicted to traditional electronic music and works under changing pseudonyms and in numerous side projects for more than 30 years now.

For the 10th anniversary, I have decided to release this unpublished video for you.
On August 30, 2014, TMA and Friends played a concert in Peter Amann's Atelier Pest Project at the Güterhallen Solingen. This concert can be classified as one of the highlights of TMA and Friends and I have wonderful memories on this evening. The Atelier was filled to the last seat and the temperatures became tropical as the evening progressed, but the atmosphere was unbelievably good. Unfortunately, I have never experienced this atmosphere again in this form. I hope you follow my flashback and enjoy our music.

This was my first attempt with the Soma Terra. After a great introduction from Björn on how to use it, I tried my luck with the controls, which were unfamiliar to me. You can perform incredibly expressively with the Soma Terra. I definitely still need a lot of practice, but fortunately the learning curve is not that steep. My second ambient track with the Soma Cosmos Looper. Sound device was only the Nord Lead A1 synthesizer. No additional FX added. Unfortunately I forgot to check the line level before recording directly into my audio interface. Sorry for the sometimes distorted sound.

Not a graveyard! Most of the synths are in great condition and fully working. You can find headphone amplifiers under the tables to plug your headphones in and play the synths

@@DeadManWalking4574 they said they're obsolete ever since the DX7 1983 ... Yet there've been used still are used and are all over music for the last 50 years.. and still a few people think they're obsolete... And they keep geting more and more value so that grave yard is an investment probably worth millions. A Arp2500 like that would probably go for more 150'000.- and it's value keeps going up .

Yeah, it reminds me of a lot of old computer sounds. I think that's how they made the waveforms from a old computer.

What a fantastic collection of classic analog synthesizer equipment. I once owned an Octave Cat analog synthesizer back in the eighties.
I don't remember Tony Banks having one of these, but it totally sounds like him.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ was eine schöne Titelauswahl mit epischen Ende.
Some of the synth timbres I hear here get me thinking of The Fixx. "Saved By Zero", for example, but then Rupert Greenall did use a PPG Wave. So did Thomas Dolby. Edgar Froese used a precursor to the PPG Wave, the 360A on Stuntman and I hear many of the same timbres that can be done on the Wave.

I associate this Synth with Captain Sensible from Smash Hits photo shoots. Its really quite basic. A weird digital / analouge cross over. Its too thin. Not warm.

Welle: Erdball war lange meine Lieblingsband, die mich seit 15 Jahren nicht mehr begeistern kann. Aber die Performance von "Am Ende der Zeit" ist echt großartig.
what an amazing sound the ppg makes and what an amazing man it takes to get it to make those sounds i would never get tired of listening it actually brings a little lump to my throat when i hear that ppg i wish i was able to play a syth
