im an os player, tried rs3 3 times,, first time was for like 5 mins, 2nd time was for like a day, this time started playing and giving it my best go as always wanted to get into it but guess as a new players perspective going from os to rs3, you get waaaay overwhelmed and dont really know where to start, but having a blast with it now that ive figured out alot more etc and know the direction i want to go, anyone wanting to play i recommend it, at first youll probably be put off or overwhelmed like i was but will eventually figure it out

The problem, and main reason people that don't or haven't played it is, steroetyping. It got a bad wrap the first year or so because the combat was a mess, but they have fixed and tweeked all of that over the years, and now its very enjoyable. I maxed on OSRS a bit over a year ago, have a 2b+ bank and got bored. Decided to give RS3 a go and I have been hooked every since. I went into it expecting to hate it, but god has it grown on me. The end game boss fights are brutal and fun. I will eventually go back to OSRS but for now, I am content with RS3.

Why all the hate? I'll tell you EXACTLY why. Because EOC was an update that solely benefitted the minority at the expense of the majority and the majority were forced to rebuild. That's why all the hate.

Woow last time i played Rs3 i think tutorial island was different. They made it like Osrs. Good cause idk what they had me doing before it was fun tho

Great to see you do some dungenoering. One of my favorite skills in rs3. I like to run through a dungeon as fast as possible but in the begining it is nice to explore. It took me some time to learn everything there is to that skill but it is fun for me. I know that for some people it is not fun but you can train with other and make the dungeon more fun and faster. It has many great rewards from it.

The reason why people hate evolution of combat so much is that it was forced into the game. There was no old school runescape until it was brought back much later... Correct way would have been to make new servers for runescape 3 and just keep old school version the same.

I'd recommend grabbing full dragon armour. It's pretty cheap and doesn't have any requirements other than 60 def. It has 5 tiers lower block chance than orikalkum +3 but it gives as much melee strength as like two and a half extra amulets of fury. It's pretty cheap.

I'd suggest with necromancy, having your Ghost and Warrior conjures near the start of the Revo bar so they stay up as much as possible.

Because aside from beating grandmaster quests, nothing feels like an achievement.

Love archglacor. It was high time rs3 added a tutorial boss. I consider it very comparable to the rat king in osrs as far as helping familiarize yourself with later game mechanics. Moving while using abilities, using aoe abilities, timing defensives, all things you use a lot in later bosses like God Wars 2.

I play both versions and enjoy them equally well. Great to see you try out RS3 :)

For necro rituals to repair right click thing in middle is a lot faster and does all for you

If you can learn hard mode Arch Glacor it can be extremely profitable. Its basically the same fight as 5 mechanics. Mistakes are just punished more the longer you streak you kills. But your loot is also improved. You will get to the point where you dont really make mistakes pretty quickly. I made about 2.5b in 500 hard mode kills mostly streaking to 100 kills or a unique drop before claiming my loot. Also 0 or 1 mechanic Glacor can be afked extremly easy. You just pick up the loot. It gives a lot of alchables and more importantly an absolutely immense amount of blue charms for summoning. 1 mechanic is pretty much the same loot as 0, it just disables the ice walls from pushing you around.

its really boring having to listen to 20 mins of quest dialog. waiting two days for the video to be two quests

RS3 is a great game and OSRS is also a great game. A good time to be alive when it comes to runescape. The only thing, that really bugs me in RS3 is the ridiculous amount of daily scape. It can completely burn you out.

Me watching this at like 11:00 thinking “lmaooo bro doesn’t know about invention.” All of those things are actually useful in some regard because they can be disassembled for rare components called “fortunate components” used in making gizmos for invention which are things that make weapons or armor have special effects. It also helps keep items relevant in game.

Not gonna lie, kinda wanna hop on RS3 and try it out now lol

there is a couple of things i'd recommend. first of all your "main" action bar can use abilities for you. but you are using them on a 2nd/3rd action bar. which requires you to use them manually. so learning how action bars work would be pretty big for your progression. second of all, you know how in osrs you have the optimal quest guide to do before you start to play the game? well rs has that too. i'd highly highly highly recommend you to go through some of the early level quests to gain easy exp to boost yourself to high levels quickly. third of all, do your daily challenges. they will give massive ammounts of xp and keys and other rewards which will help you tons.

i would recommend you to watch thersguy's videos on interface setup guide and keybinds for pvm. they are quintesential and make life soooooooo much better.

playing rs3 as a regular account is a MASSIVE mistake

Rs3 really needs to be played in ironman, its perfectly balanced for it and no microtransactions. Mainscape is a mess Also I like how you said "I have a life so no ironman" when you literally have a "hellman" series. 😆it's all good

There are free outfits you can unlock via questing, you used to be able to buy bonds for 20mil which was totally doable, and a bond could be traded for runecoins which bought any outfit obviously, but those bonds now cost 100mil+ to buy in game now so, sure it's possible but unlikely unless you loaded with billions

Loving the Vods and the series you're putting together. Almost every RS3 player grew up on OSRS and more often than not tried rs3 at some point and instantly quit. At some point most of us gave it another chance and fell in love with it after spending some time playing. I think that's why a lot of people in the community really enjoy seeing these series where old school players start to enjoy rs3 too. Both have their pros and cons but both games are so fun. Hope your series blows up and you get some recognition. Similar vibes to Sick Nerds series. Keep on grindin'

I know necro is extremely powerful, but definitely give Melee a swing (NO PUN INTENDED) EoC melee is super fun to use, especially when you get bandos armor

As someone who only quit rs3 about a year ago and is almost maxed, the only redeeming part of rs3 is combat. no skilling is rewarding because of lamps and bonus xp given out like candy. Theres way too much overhead at the end game, it get so anoyying to gear up to do literally anything, then you got invention which literally penalizes you for selling gear late game which basically locks you into one end game combat style in till you get absoulutely loaded with gp. Best of luck but trust me as someone who spent 4k hours in that game, its got nothing on old school. Oh, and have fun with no quest helper. thats hands down the worst part. esp cause theres like 300 quests.

More rs3 content needs to be out in the world. The game is honestly really good if people give it an actual chance.. I never stopped playing even when eoc came out.. 20 year old character. Never bothered with osrs because I played way more than enough of that as a teen lol..

Do should’ve made an ironman. Ironman is so much better in rs3, dont have to deal with the clapped economy

as per usual, a games tutorial changes the mechanics so it's "easier" to not understand how they actually work 🙄
