I feel like the police departments and the rest of the justice system spend more time justifying their illegal raids, rather than admitting how wrong they are (paying the people involved a heap of money) and improving their behaviour.

Imagine filing a justifiable complaint against the police after having your civil rights totally abused. Then they come back with a retaliation warrant for obstruction. If they didn't arrest him at the time of the incident how the hell are they going to come back later? This is BS in the highest degree. They're all "back the blue, while we fu¢k you.

Story 1: I understand that mistakes happen. I had a massive post, but I doubt anyone would read it. Instead, I'll just say that WHEN mistakes happen, there needs to be proper protections for the victims (any and all evidence is illegally gathered and must be thrown out, victims are immune to most charges such as obstruction, resisting, disorderly conduct, moderate levels of assault against officers..) and there needs to be an immediate payout to the victims (think a table that says things like "break down the door = $750, put anyone in cuffs = $500, make a mess of the house = $2500, any injuries = automatic payment of all medical bills plus some therapy and compensation for emotional damage/trauma based on how bad it is, etc), and the victims are still allowed to sue for additional compensation, but the key point is they get an immediate payout that they don't have to fight it out in court for. But none of that seems to apply. Instead the attitude seems to be "Well shucks, I f**ked up, sucks to be you but I don't care, you just have to eat the damages" and THAT is when I have a big problem with any "mistakes".

WHY IS IT TODAY, THAT LEO'S HAS LESS THAN ONE YEAR OF TRAINING THAN ANY OTHER LICENSED PROFESSION? EVEN LESS THAN A BEAUTICIAN... WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS?

Why are easements so misunderstood???? In most cases the property owner owns the land to the center of the road. The easement, which is nothing more than the ability of others to use the property owners land for other purposes for other reasons for the greater good. Those things include utilities, roads and public egress. That does not mean that the city or the public owns those lands but they have the deeded easement to have authority to use those areas of the property owners land for specific deeded (spelled out in the deed) reasons.
