@@xaviad7940 i don't fully understand what you are referring to? You can reorder your hierarchy however you see fit, and AC can create the folders for you in one click.

Hello Kisu could you please show how to make the following? 4 defined position where a key could randomly hides after game starts. Like bed, table, box and when game starts the key is randaomly at one of these places. I cant figure it out how to do it. @kisuarts
This could be easily done with Variables - Check random number, Have different options for where to place the key, and only run it once when the game starts. Set a another variable to reference the different locations, and then when activating those hotspots, check variable if the key has been placed there.
Hi, thank you for a very nice tutorial! Regarding the sorting maps at 4:25, all ~200 of them, you just import them from somewhere, and they're layed out nicely at regular intervals. Is there a simple way to do this or could you perhaps share the importable asset?

Did you do your combat with an Action List? I'm trying to wrap my brain around doing something similar to what you have here for simple melee, but with 2D sprites with an isometric view.
Yeah, this video is quite old but it's something you can do. It's quite complicated, and you should learn parameters for a combat system with AC.

Thank you for the tutorials! For some reason, my sprite is taking these big U turns when changing directions. I thought turning on retro style would fix this but it's still happening. Any ideas?
In AC Game Editor, under Settings -> Movement, make sure the turning mode is set to snap.

I cant find it in my unity packages??? where is it?
Have you bought it and logged in with the right account? Then it's under my assets in the package manager.
I'm really considering Adventure Creator to move my game from RPG Maker over to Unity to give me more control. How hard would farming be to implement with this tool?
It's certainly doable! Probably requires you to use a bunch of variables and timers but I definitely recommend using AC! I can also look into making a farming system when I have some extra time.
@@TaleHammer You should see my RPGM variable list 🤣🤣. That would be amazing if you ever covered it. Even if it's just one plant to show the best process. It's just a big decision for me to switch this late into my project, but it's either switch soon or keep the limitations and not reach the games full potential.

@@TaleHammer Been playing around with this for the past couple of days and I see why you made the switch. So far, it has been really fun and easy to use. The only thing I have found though is the UI is an absolute nightmare through AC unless I'm just missing something. For example, the dialogue boxes. It gives you an option to upload your own background, but it distorts the image unless you just use a plain color, which isn't attractive. I made a simple box with a border and replacing the background in the AC subtitle section, I can't get it to work but works perfectly fine when I use the basic Unity UI canvas options. Have you played with menu backgrounds at all with custom images?

I have a question, is swimming in first person even possible with AC? Is the only feature I can't figure out. (I'm using the player controller prefab from the AC website). I thought it was going to be easy xD. Btw thank you for all the tutorials, you're the best!
Thank you for the kind words! I think having a swimming mechanic would require some customizing of the character controller that comes with AC as it is not a built in feature. You can also use other character controllers with AC, some of which may have such features.

Yeah, you can just run two variable checks one after another!
How to make a DoT? Damage over time? I want that if player does not have Item X he will get automatic damage like 10 points each second. Any Idea?@@TaleHammer
@@pushingpandas6479 You can make the actionlist run on a loop, check if the player has the item X, cause damage if not, then just add an engine wait action at the end and loop it back to the beginning.

The style is so cool! I wonder if the player weapons should look more like pixel art? Also, if the tutorial boss kills you, maybe you just get captured and continue the game, no one wants to repeat a tutorial stage hehe. Keep it up :D

Hello, please tell me, when I start the scene, I have a couple of problems, and I do not know how to fix them. 1. The character moves only left and right. Movement up and down, only animation, and the character just slides in place. Please tell me how this can be fixed.
It's difficult to say just based on your comment. Make sure your movement method is correct and that you haven't restricted any movement directions for the player.
How can I make it that if I have a specific Item in Inventory, Iam immune for damage... Is that possible?
Whenever you trigger an actionlist that would deal damage, just add an inventory check for that specific item before the damage is dealt

@@pushingpandas6479 Make sure your cameras have the post processing enabled. They may be disabled by default.

It sounds like you don't have a camera in your scene, or it has been disabled! Search your hierarchy for a MainCamera object and make sure it is enabled. You can also try adding a new camera.
how do I make physics objects that I can move with the mouse? (like the portal cubes) I see that there is a pickup movable option but I can't make it work

It is possible to do a very basic combat system only using AC ,but it's quite complicated, and I'd have to plan such a tutorial carefully to be coherent enough to follow. I may do so when I have the time.
