Dunno about Aldrich, but ssh+ is louder, thicker but tighter at the same time. Great leads, punchy for rhythm. Its a great high output pickup actually. Its just i like lower output ones

Not really cuz i use 3rd part ir but i can tell you what i use, really simple 👍 so here it is: Just go to the stock dumble dore preset, change the ir to 3sigma's zilla cab number 2a\2b, then set the gain and eq to taste, then boost it with tube screamer, nothing special. I didn't change anything other than ir and gain. Its a good stock preset and good amp, what you need just good ir

Its one of jam track central backing track i bought, forgot the name. For sweeping, there's tons of lessons on youtube, like i just found several yesterday. For starters just start slow to medium tempo with metronome if possible, work out the basic minor and major scales. Even just 3 strings at first should be fine. Focus on clarity and separations of notes. Dont be too tempted to rush things. You can play fast here and there but not too often. Hope it helps

Depends on level of gain you want. I dont own sd-1 but i think i hv an idea on how it sounds. The ultimate drive has way more gain than vintage OD. Its basically marshall in a box. Also more scooped. Its gonna be quite gainy if u stack it with sd1 (if thats wht u want). While VOD is a tubescreamer, which is less gain and mid heavy. Think SRV (if you stack sd-1) gain level.

i end up with dimarzio paf 7 in the neck and for now i have juggernaut in the bridge. the paf is so good already i might not want to change it. it felt and sounds like playing a 22 fret guitar which is amazing. the jugg just works for djent stuff and metal, but might not be perfect for my lead playing needs.

based on the specs and vibes, i would say so (got it for that too). its just i havent tested it in most optimal condition to give you exact answer. cuz my guitar is weird, i just found out every pickup needs to be installed backwards to sound good (bridge pup too close to the bridge)

but of course there's VH2 too, so...
