    This works good works even better with dab of construction adhesive in hole also get or make threshold from hardwood then use trim screws to secure composite thresholds are junk they break would also use tack strip behind threshold not on top

    Great video but I used small screws instead of nails so I could prevent the wavy result and easily remove the strip later if needed. You could put small washers as shims underneath first to help prevent the wavy sag.

    I live in a rental, I hate asking the real estate to come over, The hallway to my bathroom is carpeted until the tiles I the bathroom all on a concrete slab, the carpet was worn exposing the spike strip I bought the same threshold and was wondering how am I going to get this onto the concrete? Just as I was going to the Home Depot I decided to look at CZcams and there you were! thank you so much. I had everything in the garage!

    Would this still work if you don’t put the wooden dowel piece in before nailing it?

    • @omegaxshark21
      @omegaxshark21 Před 2 lety

      No of course not, the wooden dowel is the part that is expanding to hold the screw in

    The best and the popular way to finish the carpet to the concrete floor in the door way is a tap down metal piece.

    Did he bother stretching that carpet before he did this? It's NOT going to hold up when they vacuum.. Is he trying to crack the concrete with that hammer?

    • @rudyferrell
