Fishing the Lake Wylie grand slam catfish tournament with the family. It was put on by Jeff Manning “team reeling the blues” and Richard Warskow “team keepin it reel” Two great guys and both have Awsome CZcams channels. Go check them out. Couldn’t put the slam togather and lost a monster but still had a blast. Got my oldest hooked on tournament fishing for sure. Hope you guys enjoy!!

Awesome Can you post the specs and pics of the inside of the transom? I am building something similar
did it leave your aluminum looking white? do you polish it or anything after or leave it be?
Polish it after applying any acid to it
If you have to apply several times there are much better products to use
Only need to be applied once if you don’t add water to it just spray it on brush it evenly and rince off then polish your boat with white diamonds after
Are you going to put the motors in the rear of the pontoons or between them?

love the project .I have a trytoon just replace the back I beam have a 150 on it was starting to sag. just some info make the transom as stip as posable .love my pontoon . cant wate to see you finish it
About the get started back on it the end of this month. Finishing up a total house remodel had to dismiss up the honeydo list then I’m full blast in the toon!!!

Hey I’m installing a center toon. What’s the best advice could you provide in regards of me centering that toon??
What’s the reason of the center toon being bigger than the outside toons? I like how you did it I was looking at doing it to mine. Just got me puzzled why all three toons not being the same.
Honestly it’s the only decent toon I could find at the time but after doing some research “in theory”, after I get the lifting strakes put in witg the bigger motor the boat should get on plane and run mostly on the center toon. From what I’ve read it should handle more like a v hull boat and increase mph and gas mileage. I hope it works. We will see.
What’s the stuff you normally buy to acid wash and where can I find it?

Love your mods! I have a 24' set up almost exactly the same as yours but smaller 23" outer toons and 25" center and exact transom mount as yours I pulled the center toon 24'' back to move my moter out of the inset the transom will mount the motor directly even with the outers and like yours a full back deck Question is what degree angle is your transom plate set? And is your Center Toon mounted flush level with the top of the outer toons or set above or below or centered exactly? You set your transom to place your moter 4" back of your outers I assume to keep the prop in still water I maybe should move my center back another 5" for the same reason I appreciate and like your videos and thanks for the offer to help with my questions your a Southerner and a Dam Good Man Thanks Hawk 😎 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Not sure about the transom angle but I’ll def check and let you know. My center toon is sitting level with the tops of the outer toons. I’m also adding a jack plate to the center too which will add 5 more inches to the setback of my motor. I’ll have more videos soon. Workin on the trailer now. I appreciate the comments and I’ll try my best to keep ya updated on any issues I run into

I'm no engineer but I'm a hell of a lot smarter that those idiots just trying to part me with $80,000 for something they have in stock? Thanks for the tip. I was worried that stuff would eat the stickers off.
I’ve never had it eat them off but I usually rinse it within a couple minutes and don’t mix it super strong.
I am interested how your original pontoon handled the 150hp? I have a rebuilt 150 Mercury I am wanting to put on a pontoon or Tritons, if I can find one that needs a motor for a reasonable price. I am all about saving money and DIY also. Good luck! Looking forward to more videos.
I had to do some bracing to the original tra some before we put it on but it did well. It just sat really low in the back
