hey , lets not beat the guy up to bad he did get out there and give it a try any way ..... and he did mention he is not the mechanic type guy at all ... ( but a foot note , the wrenches used will be metric not standard ) thanks ken for giving it a shot , and doing the best one can do !

Just Wrong, Should be taken down. Try the manual.

Pretty much everything done wrong. That is not the drain plug. It's under the oil tank. And you did not drain the crankcase by removing the drainplug under the oilfilter. You probably did only change 2/3 of the oil in the system. Leaving you with contaminated oil, and a pretty useless oilchange.

Hey Ken, you missed draining the crankcase, and the oil collected there, by way of the crank case bottom drain plug.

Thanks for sharing this, Ken. I have had my eye on the RT since it was introduced and love to hear comments and opinions from two up riders. Lucky and Dee share height differences with me and my wife - I'm taller than she is. Would love to hear Dee's opinion of the view from the back seat.

Ken, I appreciate all the videos you've posted. Been going through them, and this was a great one. Of course, when the RT is actually available in the showrooms, my comments here will be very out of date. Until then, this is a great bit of information to enthusiasts and potential customers of the Spyder.

while it was not intended to be there are many ryders that are wheel chair bound, that have modified the roadster to work with the handicap that they have. there are several ryders that carry a wheel chair on the bike. some have lost limbs and some are paralized from the waist down. The spyder is a safe and solid machine that has reopened the door for some of those that have disablilities. Hope that helps answer your question.
