I dont get how he's considered "strong". Like, he seems like a very midground kiIIer with easy counters (if the other survivors werent so bad 🙄) I thought it was universally agreed that he wasnt strong, and that people complaining are just bad and/or arent learning the counters. Am I wrong is is this an uncommon L take for Otz?

This stupid Killer will be the excuse to buff all survivor perks even more and make the game even worse for All M1 killers

Glad to see that Vecna will follow the pattern of being buffed post PTB and then being nerfed after enough people have bought him.

The new map is very difficult to navigate. Not necessarily a bad thing but i think its contributed to the kill rate.

Mage hand is just so boring. Where is my counterplay without the item against it? And a good Vecna will always disable op items. Hes just a bit unbalanced. Just my humble opinion of course.

After playing vecna for some time now.. I think he is in par with Unknown. I would argue that he’s even better. I think he’s slightly too strong. But if they rework him, then I fear they will make him too weak. Also the second effect of the aura sphere is op. Just found that out today 😅

Kinda want to see knight get the new ability swap function. With extended cooldowns and new functionality for his friends of course

Give it maybe a month and I feel like people will figure him out by then and play against him more properly. I can definitely be wrong, but whenever a new killer releases, it's very rare for people to immediately play against them perfectly. That's how it felt with knight when it kept removing loops from people

This killer aint for me, i find him clunky, slow and easily outplayed. Give alot of stress playing him

I mean, a lot of people are playing *him* instead of other killers so of course he'll be rising up higher, add on that people dont know how to play against him to the point of apparently killing themselves trying to use his magical items, it no surprise hes up there, along with his power not being very bad (but from what I can see in videos it seems like I wouldn't really call it the best)

Has anyone had a wall break on the new map? The one where the red floor with a hook leads to edge map which you can fall off and respawn where you first spawned.

The reason his kill rate is so high is because survivors are killing each other just to get items. When I was playing a Mach earlier I random when to a unhook me but noticed a chest and they literally watched me die on hook just so they could get an item

Only assholes use the excuse 'it's just a game' to try and justify harassment and toxicity.

The only thing I am afraid of is him being over nerfed because of people that refuse to learn a killers kit. I still play high level survivors that don't use xeno's turrets at all, just don't pick up pinheads box and just never pick up a Onryo tape. They cry in endgame chat or the forums about killers being op but never even try to understand a killers kit and its counters. You have to remeber aswell some survivors think killing themselfs on hook will mess with the Devs data getting them nerfed. Lets just hope the devs take their time and nerf/buff him just right

I find vecna so fun as killer and survivor, i think he could use maybe a few tiny nerfs but nothing drastic

Vecna is complex with a medium-high skill requirement, but if you can learn him well, he's very strong.

Thought it would be more analytical, but this is just a VOD highlight.

18:10 this has happened to me a lot too, whats likely happening is that fly is VERY sensitive to double tapping click to just instantly cancel it and I've noticed in moments of higher stress it can be really easy to unintentionally do it

While his kill rate is that high give it like a month or 2 and then it will drop.

The killer is amazing until one survivor keeps going invisible and teleporting around the map because he got a 20 on the chest

Oh well i'm glad I didn't play the game at all when Vecna is out

Also, there are things I did notice as vecna, if you have the iridescent add on that breaks pallets with mage hand. You can select the pallet you want to break and while the action of the hand is breaking the pallet it also prevents the survivor from vaulting trapping them and closing in on them for a hit.😊 you can use it while chasing a survivor in a loop and it prevents them from vaulting and you hone in on the for a M1.

Ok ill be honest, based on survivor interactions, and my personal experience, he's an extremely good killer in good hands, but I think his killrate being so high leans more into survivors who give up against him. I played him for 10 hours straight and 4kd all but 3 matches, then took a week break from dbd. I came back and played a few matches and every. single. game. Every survivor either bitched relentlessly and called him the new skull merchant after giving up at 5 gens, or they didn't understand how to play against him. In total, i think i played against maybe 4 teams that knew what they were doing. People just hate playing against him even though he honestly has one of the most engaging kits they've ever released. Despite the person who compared him to SM, his kit is genuinely good without 15 million side effects. For reference, the build i went on a 25+ winstreak with was ruin pop stbfl corrupt. I wasnt running grim, or noed, or anything crazy in terms of strong perks. I basically ran what he would be allowed in a comp setting. And yet, i still stand by the fact that the results came more from inexperienced survivors than my personal skill. (Also i will never understand why they chose to buff the item that is and always has been the strongest item in the game. That was a ridiculously bad decision.)
