Sat Night/Sun am, 118AM it is now 08SEP24. Who would you suppose is still up rewatching today's stream and re reading the chat? Hmmm. Do sometime let Patrick read about this. I was able to go to Australia annually from 1987 thru 2002, always in the month of September. I always think of where I was as each Sep11 approaches. When the attacks occurred around 900am Sep11 in NYC, I and a fellow travel companion from PHX, AZ were getting our hotel rooms in Cairns, in the state of Queensland, Australia, late pm there on Sep11, 2001. Turned on TV and saw what was occurring in NY. We had several days to be in OZ still, and it never occurred to us we would have troubles returning to the US. For days, each place we went to, the Australians recognizing us by our accents, told us how sorry they were to see what happened in America. Days later we got to Sydney, and it was there, that we learned that UA was still not allowed to fly from OZ to LAX. A couple days later, flights resumed and we made it to LAX. But NOT the end of the story. This travel companion was unable to fly LAX to PHX, due to NO flights allowed yet. So UA rented him a car to drive to PHX. Meantime there were no flights from LAX to CVG to get me home even with connection service. Guess what they did with old Greg? There was a UA flight permitted to travel from LAX to I A D !!! So that is where I went. It was the most somber, quiet, flight I have ever been on. I am sure none of us passengers were at all thrilled about being on a jet. I was put up at a hotel by the IAD airport and then the old Comair/DL got me to CVG the next am. Mark, that is the ONE and ONLY TIME I have been to IAD over the decades. EACH time I see you film at IAD... 11sep01 immediately comes back to mind. I was 47 years old at the time and getting back to CVG, was so good.

Great job again Mark. I did mention I have so many travel experiences to tell you about, and your comment was, I bet you do. I could write a set of encyclopedias actually, and will spare you by telling you just a bit at a time. I have flown over 1 million miles starting in the 1970's thru approx the year 2005. I have things I really want to share with Patrick. Anyway, another time for that. This time I will reserve for this numbers stuff, in regards to LIKES and SUBSCRIBES at You Tube. I have mentioned to Kimberly that I spend time in about 12 streams in the US and Europe. I find the time, as I am retired, and hang out with other AVgeeks. The 2 BIG ones I began with are Kevin Ray's Airline Videos Live, and another, LA Flights. Kevin used to be a TV news photographer in a few cities with some large networks, and ended up in LA. Those rooms have a minimum of 1000 to 3000 people on slow days, and when AF One or another special event is occurring it has been over 6000. Those 2 rooms and all the smaller ones I got involved with, stress the importance of Liking and Subscribing. I have heard different streamers explain that You Tube has this computer/algorithm that keeps track of a channel's numbers, and then it "suggests" a given channel to potential viewers based on the higher numbers. That is why I am always asking people to hit LIKE in your stream. Enough for one session. I will tell you another time what one streamer has told me about the topic of earning money on his streams with ads during his stream. CYA Sunday sir!

I am ready!!! Hope all goes well getting there. AFTER the stream. I hope to remember to mention what I have learned over the last 2 years from several other streamers, about stressing the importance of hitting the LIKE button, and that YT uses the number of likes towards promoting your channel to others.

Hello Mark. I am replaying IAD on Aug31, and am just NOW hearing you wanted me to fill in info on CVG. There are both Atlas Air and Kalitta 747's that fly there. It is DHL's largest North American hub. My brother used to work bldg maintenance for DHL. It is Amazon's largest US hub and they have begun using some A300 purchased from Hawaiian. The visitor parking area is south of runway 9/27 on its east end, and to the east of runway 18L/36R, on its south end rather close to the DHL and Amazon bldg's and where their aircraft are parked. The viewing area has port o let toilet facilities, picnic tables, and playground equipment for kids...Of interest, do look for a marker/plaque stand denoting the center of the US population at some year during the 1800's. Remember what I have mentioned about Kevin Ray of Airline Videos Live AVL, being given a 1.5 day tour of the Amazon hub and inside one of their 767's WITH his cameras. Daggone cool video he posted on youtube.
