most fuel efficient hydrogen car, fuel cell electric vehicle, velomobile
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed 21 dnem
see Europe’s most efficient vehicles. This concept cars are fueled by water! With about 80 grams of water, the Thaiger H2 drives 1,000 kilometers. A small electrolyzer could split this water to hydrogen with solar. In gasoline equivalent one person could drive 100 kilometers with 0.03 liters or 7,800 miles per gallon. While ordinary cars drive only 22 mpg or 10 liters per 100 kilometers.

    I get that this is used to advance research on hydrogen powered vehicles, but forgoing the electrolysis and combustion for a electric engine would make it plain more efficient. But if the race is about hydrogen cars i get why its done like this. Given the other designs presented (more car-like) its no surprise this one won.

    This video is so dumb. First of all to compare water "mileage" to fuel mileage makes no sense. Second of all the water is not the source of energy. It's like saying my car gets 20000mpg because that the amount of oil it burns.

  • @_Stupid_Idiot
    @_Stupid_Idiot Před 24 dny

    "powered by water" What a stupid thing to say. They are obviously powered by electricity, just in a very complicated an inefficient way. They would go farther if they just stored whatever electricity they got into a battery at 95% efficiency, rather than using electricity to electrolyze water to make hydrogen(throwing away some energy), compressing the hydrogen gas into a tank(wasting even more energy), and then running it through a fuel cell (losing even MORE energy) to get a fraction of the energy back..

    Current electrolysis technologies can achieve efficiencies of 60-80%, with solid oxide electrolytic cells (SOEC) being the most efficient at 80%. The hydrogen is then combined with nitrogen from air using the Haber-Bosch process to produce ammonia. This step has an efficiency of around 90%. This costs 3-6x more expensive than blue hydrogen because the electricity is more valuable than methane gas.

    • @thomasgade226
      @thomasgade226 Před 4 dny

      Electricity is zero price many times this year here in Europe, but only for 2-8 hours each time. So Topsøe made their SOEC to start/stop in seconds to capture those prices.

    I built a hydrogen generator and have been looking into storage options. My thoughts were to use a propane tank at low pressures. Are you storing your hydrogen in a compressed natural gas tank, are you using a liquid gas tank or are you using a special hydrogen cylinder? I don't know if I have access to any special cylinders in this area.

    Very interesting material. I have been watching your materials for two years. I created my own version of the hydrogen system. Uses 4 PEM generators, production 600ml/min H2. I built water buffers, dehumidifiers, filters. The hydrogen used stores up to 5 bar. I wonder how you managed to burn hydrogen. My stove reached a maximum of 98 degrees Celsius while trying to boil 1 liter of water. I suspect the hydrogen pressure was too low because my system was not keeping up with production relative to consumption. Regards

      @konradpiotrowski5662 Před 4 měsíci

      I'm also wondering about the type of material for the burner. Under the slow-motion recordings, I can see penetrations of not only the orange flame, but also the blue one, which would indicate that oxygen has entered the mixture or that oxides are present as a result of the combustion of the burner materials.

    Please consider using a catchpot filter before this filter and consider if the resin used to deionise the water affects the water coming off the electrolyzer. My guess is that resiin does not contanimate the protium water but the silica aerogel filter would likely contanimate to water with nano particles of the silica aerogel. If the protium water is rendered safe for drinking people could sell it to pet owners. Other changes may be necessary. I like the precious metals but I am not keen on the titanium so what about gold instead of titanium? Most dogs get cancer due to poisonous dog food and I doubt that a dog drinking protium water would get cancer and the owner would save on expensive pet bills. Many people are reluctant to spend money on themselves but would gladly spend the money to keep their pet healthier. You can see my dog in my photo and he is easily worth the expense! You seem to have not considered the value of the protium water in your videos and you make no mention of the potential benefit of deuterium free water. I wish you all success. With a few changes you have a health product which also happens to store hydrogen (and possibly also oxygen) in cylnders. You have to always consider if you could change the product so that instead of being a mere useful product it becomes a product everyone must buy. You seem to have the skill to do so. Perhaps the way to sell the product is first sell the electrolyzer for health uses for the buyer's family and pets and some for sale. Then users can make money to buy the hydrogen to cyclinder parts and finally the oxygen to cylinder parts. I would use the hydrogen for an e-cat as you can use a phonon resonance formula to calculate the correct temperature operation for maximum heat output which is orders of magnitude more efficient for heat than merely burning the hydrogen. (You have the skill to design for safety to deal with the meta-stable copper output which generates gamma then beta radiation temporarily). Some claim to have used car mufflers to get the cheap palladium sponge material. You can buy Lexus mufflers from auto wreckers by paying more than others.

    Moin mein Lieber, "don't go electric" - a fuel cell powers an electric car! Its still electric. I think we need to criticize some things: 1. The model 3 is not the cheapest car. Its middle class sport vehicle. The Model Y is already starting at 45.000€ (22.02.2024) with recently price drops to 42.000€. 2. 79ct at the hypercahrger? You now mixing two things, showing you didnt even use an electric car before: Supercharger prices are higher than on public chargers with 79ct being the most expensive price I have ever seen on the Autobahn. You normally using contracts from EVUs where you can get about 50-60ct/kwh. The Tesla superchargers are at 60ct PEAK (to stay at youre example....) with changing prices for times seen on the screen. Its pretty easy to charge at cheap times. Later youre talking about charging at home, which is another fully different scenario. Charging at home even without regenerative energy you get about 30ct/kwh... Youre switching cases to your needs! 3. Gasoline equivalent? This comparison is just not comparable :D You wont get this 10kwh of 1l diesel to the street - this is just polemic... Youre later even saying a gasoline car needs 10l/100km... Not even my old VW T4 is hitting this value! 4. You never throw away an akkumulator... 5. Youre now saying that because of these 3 days of "Dunkelflaute" you need to switch the whole system? NEarly without any possiblities of charging on a tour even in Stralsund it is hard to get this. 6. If using generated regenerative electric energy for producing H2 is free, then its also free to charge your battery electric vehicle... Its both wrong, because you need to invest first. What youre not talking about is the HUGE amount of energy loss due to the conversion to hydrogen and converting it back to electric energy and converting it to kinetic energy. Changing a very effective way of using electricity to a very ineffective and not "free" way because of 3 days is not really a good argumentation... Eventhough youre talking about long tours of electric cars and comparing the prices there to home charging H2 cars... The idea is cool, but the comparison is not even close to being fair and also in some parts away from the facts. Best regards

      @biancaol6968 Our device is still in the workshop, we have proof of concept, and now we are working on prototypes. Cold fusion can supply electrical energy, heat, and hydrogen. it's a matter of focus and funds, all internal combustion engines work on poor efficiency, diesel engines have no spark, electrical only need more electricity which to design for make bread or boil water, are you hungry or thirsty 😀
