Hi Mike, we've certainly got to get out when we can and right now the weather seems to be in our favour, this summer has been a washout for most of us, you never know, maybe we may get a calmer winter, I would imagine winter where you are can be harsh but beautiful at the same time, the meteor is a cracking bike, it's just me that needs the change, take care ...... Yeah Paraffin heater in the hall warming the rooms upstairs and later the solid fuel back boiler and radiators. Hard times, good times. Really enjoyed that trip and the left mirror gave all the rear view needed, no offence!!

No offence taken 😂 it's great to get your views, we still use paraffin heaters here in France, a touch more modern 😂, but to be fair the winters aren't that bad, ........ Colin ☺️

Morning Colin your summing up of buying a new bike was spot on especially the first few months of ownership of a RE comes with mixed emotions, but as time passes I love the way my classic performs, it’s only the top speed that I feel is wanting, so I start looking and wondering what else can I have, then I go out on the classic and the speed thing is not a issue, which means I procrastinate which is something in respect of bikes I never did, “liked it buy it”used to be a rule thumb that’s how you end up with a garage full of bikes n scooters. Have I possibly found all the bike I need in the 350 classic 😳 after 50 years 8 month and a few days of trying 😂😂😂😂 your rides and mine are the same with the occasional longer trip do I need something faster ! Have I grown up at last ? 🤣. Snap so did I, all our family holidays were in Cornwall polzeath being one of our fav destinations, we would all pile in our commer van and dad would drive all night from London, good days, Sarah and I both remember pulling the net curtain off the frost on the inside of the window 🤣 a simpler time and fun time. …. Morning Pete, I'm in full agreement of everything you say, we seem to have a lot in common as we've passed through our lives, I spent so many great summers in Cornwall especially 1976, what a roaster, your classic is a real eye catcher, and you have the camper, enjoy life to it's full, but never stop the dreams 🥰, ....... Afternoon Pete, can't wait to meet our baby Emma, although these things can't be rushed, I have so many tee shirts with different slogans on them, it gives the wife something to do, I was quite impressed yesterday at the dealership, she never moaned once 😂, although I did have to take her for a drink before returning home, I think I may be wrong about the service interval its 5000kms for the general items and 10,20,40,000 for the tappets, but that's a huge improvement, I know what you mean with regards to the forward controls, but in my case they actually make me feel a little uncomfortable when I'm on Gigi, but I do have short fat hairy legs 😂😂, I found the shotgun to be a little clumsy, again my opinion, I think for any low cruiser forward control bike you need to be tallish and I'm certainly not , so I may have time to get a little coastal ride in this evening, you never know .........colin 😀

@@Axel-bb8go , hi I'm sorry too hear of what happened, was the plate the old one? if it was it may have been weak, and to be fair it would have been very difficult to spot, you did everything right by your description, is your torque wrench correct? I've seen this happen in the past where you set it to the specified settings but it over tightened it, worth a check, with a new plate you should be fine, let me know, thanks for watching, good luck.,....... Hi and thanks for watching, sometimes the fuel pipe can be a bit difficult, you have to make sure the little buttons are completely pushed in, then gently rotate the pipe from left to right while carefully pulling back from the pump, when it does come off there will be a bit of fuel so have a rag at hand, good luck ...... Today I had the tank removed, thanks of your video. I installed the Fuelx Lite and the engine runs better. Tomorrow I make a test drive. Thanks again for the video and greeting from the Netherlands. Gert

Afternoon Pete, this weather is an absolute joke, it hasn't stopped raining here all day, and since about 10.30 its been really foggy, She's doing well, she can start to put a little weight on it now and she says it feels much better compared to how did before the operation, I'm glad one of us is getting some use out of our bikes, .........colin 😀

Morning Pete, well what a difference a day makes, no blue sky this morning, just extremely cloudy, but a welcome break to that heat, whooping cough is spelt as you did, and I'm so glad it's gone from our house, horrible thing, there are far too many bugs in the world today, there are new cases of covid where the wife works, it's all becoming too much, I'm beginning to look like a pin cushion with all the vaccine jabs, those dandelion things become a bit of a pain in the but if you've got the visor up, but as you said there certainly isn't as many bugs as last year, tell Sarah she's more than welcome, take care .......colin 😀

It always rains when you are in the middle of doing something (unless you live in Finistere when it hardly stops) hopefully you got the sofa sorted, I agree with Sarah I should move, unfortunately for me, the wife doesn't agree🤨, I haven't got round to sorting out the rack, but it sits there quite nicely, the way the weather is performing you may be right about holding onto the boat, ...........colin 🙂

@@marcoenmymizocampinggears4871 , hi I'm not to sure what your asking me, the tank is secured by a bolt at the seat end, and is held in place the other end by 2 round rubbers, this makes the hole tank secure, may I ask why you want to raise the tank by 3 inch for?? ...... Colin ☺️

@@droneon29 to make it look more like chopper bike... Raised the front only by 3 inch.

@marcoenmymizocampinggears4871 ok, well I'm not sure, how you would go about that, as I said the front of the tank slides over 2 rubbers and they are attached to the frame, I'm sure it could be done by fabricating brackets....... Colin ☺️
