Freesky Alaska Dual Battery Fat Tire ebike Unlocked Controller Installation 4K
A must-do mod to this bike IMO. Bike would only go about 19 mph on throttle with stock speed controller. Now it'll go up to about 38 mph on throttle. It would always do full speed while pedaling on max PAS (pedal assist) mode. You can also do a little bit of extra programming for features but not as much as I would like.
The nice thing is when combined with 11-34 tooth freewheel, you can use the cruise control function to set any speed you want and then you can pedal comfortably up to 30+ MPH. There's no more "ghost pedaling" which makes for a more comfortable ride because when you are ghost pedaling, you can't use the pedal stroke to take weight off your backside. Before you had to pedal extremely fast to go about 25 mph (without ghost pedaling) because the gearing was so short with stock sprockets on freewheel. It makes a massive difference in real life riding. I usually cruise around at 26 mph or so and pedal to get some exercise.

Muddy Christmas Day '23 Ride w/ my Bro! Kawasaki KLX140RF & Trailmaster TM29 Pit Bike Ride [4K60]

Rare in NY. I didn't think we'd get to ride dirt bikes but it was a crazy warm day this Christmas so we took the Trailmaster TM29 125cc pit bike and the KLX140RF dirt bike out for a muddy ride. Tons of snow just melted. It was slippery, soft ground and muddy pretty much everywhere, but it was still fun. Both bikes ran great, no problems. Just to be clear you have it in the"push" configuration? I have the same bike currently installing just Trying to understand the relationn to push and pull. You think it would be pull since your shifting your foot you pull up which is pulling the shift link up. Unless it's reffering to you pulling your foot up and you pulling your foot up to shift is pushing against the shift link which is pushing up. I can see both ways in this situation its all relative currently wiring it up and took your idea of velcro-ing in the compartment tray.

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto Před 19 dny

      Cool glad it worked. Yeah I guess pull is for GP shift where you switch the linkage around because it's only meant for up-shiftng. You'd need a blipper for downshifting and this thing can only cut ignition, not biip throttle. Maybe on bikes with different stock configuration shift linkage it would be set to pull too I guess.

      Thanks yeah it’s a nice minibike. Carb would definitely help it even more. But then I’d need to remove governor, and for me that would also require a better flywheel for safety. I did get a better cast aluminum flywheel so that’s something I could do. Might have to try it but it has plenty of power for the bike really. Need to work on front suspension and probably weld up frame where it has rubber bushings before I do that though. Frame is pretty flexy already! LOL

LOL I think I’m gonna put that one in my BT200X eventually. But I think they have a pretty low electronic RPM limiter on them, on the coils. That BT could use more torque than the 212 I have on there now has.

    • @02ws64
      @02ws64 Před měsícem

      So after getting the 224 broken in and doing some riding it's definitely more punchy down low and mid range but the valve springs are super weak, motor floats the valves around 5200 rpm..... the stock Jain Dong 196 that was in there would turn 5600-5700 with no valve float on the stock springs. 22lb springs are next and will fix the issue but ultimately right now the bike has a lower top speed with the 224 than the 196. Also the 196 is substantially smoother as it revs the 224 is harsh you can hear and feel it.

      @@Zane.Wellnitz Interesting! I actually went up a tooth on the front sprocket because I thought it would make 1st and 2nd gear more usable in the woods up hills and I figured 3rd gear would be useless anyways. But I might go down a tooth on front sprocket (already have the sprocket), and install the carb I got for it, then maybe 3rd gear would work better in the woods. Mine went about 50 mph stock down a hill but also 48 on flat ground. But I'm more concerned with usable gears in the woods than top speed on this bike for where I usually ride it. If top speed was 45 I'd be ok with it as long as it was better in the woods. Once in a while it gets super dry around here, I might just leave the spark arrestor in even though I know it would have more power with it gone. Maybe with a new carb and filter I can get a little extra power out of it. It's cold blooded but when warmed up runs pretty good fully stock actually. Better than I thought it would anyways.

    Thanks for the video. My TW200 just failed the new emissions test in France where I live. The bike does start and run easily with no choke in the spring/summer months. So I'm wondering if removing the metal plug and turning that screw all the way in might weaken the mixture enough to solve my emissions problem?

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto Před 2 měsíci

      It might. I have no idea about those emissions tests. To me it’s insanity doing emissions testing on a 30 year old designed 196cc motorcycle engine. Governments are out of control over there.

      @@bwxmoto Thanks. Do you think there's any reason why I shouldn't drill out the aluminium plug to allow screwdriver access? (Sounds like it was pretty tricky to get it out with the self-tapping wood screw)

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto Před 2 měsíci

      @@Snoosemoose When you use a drill on anything it seems like the drill bit usually goes through and violently collides with whatever is under the thing you are drilling no matter how hard you try for it not to do that. So I suppose you could damage the the brass screw under it (unlikely) but as long as you're careful it should be fine. You could just completely remove the carburetor but that might take more time than using a self taping screw or whatever. Like I said in vid, there's a million ways to do it. It's pretty simple stuff. What I did in vid is just what I happened to try first. It probably took more time than it should have with the self tapping screw but it worked out. I don't think I had a drill or bit that would have allowed me to use a drill without removing the carb. I don't know what the laws are over there though. Maybe they'll throw you in jail for tampering with an emission device, who knows. LOL Europe is crazy. Emission testing a TW200 seems 🦇💩 crazy in the first place. 😆 But you might be onto something, adjusting the carb for it to pass their crazy test.

      @@Snoosemoose Yeah no prob. You could remove the throttle cable and twist it for access on left side of bike without completely removing carb actually. • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto Před 2 měsíci

      Just do it! Trust me bro. 😎 Seriously though you have to unless you have that riser that also moves engine way more forward in frame. It doesn’t serve any purpose other than to hold the chain guard. It’s welded on with crappy welds and the frame doesn’t need any more rigidity in that direction unless you have like 60 ft lbs if torque twisting the frame. The rear axle and engine mounting plate is all you need in that direction. Plus the shape of that piece isn’t designed for anything structural. It’s a C shape. The vertical hoops are what give the frame its strength. That piece is redundant for structural rigidity. People argue about it all the time but they really don’t know what’s up. Just my opinion though! I’m not an engineer. But you’ll never see a frame break because that piece is cut. They always break near steering neck in the vertical direction from vertical impacts like landing a jump too hard. It might help if you wreck the bike really bad and it gets hit at a weird angle from the side but still, unlikely. Even on the flimsy CT200U frame it’s fine.
