There are shows like ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT where all the characters are so unique and so self centered, they don't fit together and that's the actual appeal of their story. Like a pearl necklace, all the characters are part of an ensemble, but they are like tiny islands divided by knots. In this show, it's the exact opposite. All the characters need each other, they neutralize the 'negative' traits of the others. Louis is too indecisive, too moody, too docile ... too boring compared to the other individuals. Don't get me wrong, I still love him. Lestat is too calculating, too cruel, too disloyal ... all that dishonesty makes him unlikable and turns him into the villain of the story. He needs the love of Louis as an incentive to work on himself (or pretend harder) and it's Claudia's opposition that keeps him on his toes. Claudia is too reckless, too obnoxious and too uncomprehending ... the forever teenager. Her mind might be evolving to a certain point, but she has the same emotional intelligence throughout the story - the other vampires are the same. These and other characters can't exist on their own, they can't entertain the audience on their own. Like a chemical bond, they activate each other and become digestible for us.

Damn the one thing besides Lestat toxicity and dramatic tendencies that got me hooked was Claudia's calm hate for Lestat arrogance. Well ill give the new female actress a shot to see what she can bring in the performance. Ill not jump to conclusions before i see few new episodes with the new cast.

Yes!!! Return 3 is my absolute favorite. The Julie Zombie was just perfect and her introduction is one of the best scenes in horror. And the cute lovestory was a plus too. Classic must see. 😊

I was hooked on the first two movies. #3 was not up to the task. I never saw #4, but reviews that I read points to it being worse than the #3. It is so sad no one invested to make it into been money making franchise. They had 23 years to get a worthy script that included bringing back Gina Phillips. Ray Wise would surely have jumped back into the role as the father with the harpoon waiting for the creeper to awaken. - So maybe two and done. However, there was so much more they could have accomplished with the creeper character that it is a shame that it never happened. Cheers

I don't kill spiders, but I don't like it when they disappear and you know they are in the room. It's not a bad movie, but I definitely recommend 'Infested' (2023), a french spider movie. I remember in 'The Mist' the way too convincing character of Marcia Gay Harden. 😅
