what better way to celebrate finishing uni than hiring out an 18-person villa in the south of france!? we ate incredible food, drank delicious (and very cheap) wine, played innumerable games and overall had the most amazing trip :) you can book to stay at the stunning Domaine de Pouroutounat here: domainedepouroutounat.com shoutout to Jon for making our stay unforgettable!!

I’m a first year student at the University of Nottingham, studying History and Hispanic Studies. Here’s a typical day in my life: waking up, seeing friends, lectures, coffee dates, dinner in halls and of course...nights out on a Pryzm Monday. Hope you enjoy! ✰ Music used: ✰ Canals - Joakim Karud ✰ Dreams - Joakim Karud Social media: ✰ Instagram: aimeeecohen

I'm going to be working here. I'm so nervous, but excited at the same time 😅
I’m so confused between the university of westminster and the university of Nottingham for my masters in business management I prefer London but I’m not sure whether the university of westminster could add any value to my CV If anyone could help Please let me know
Really liked your vlog! Now I want to visit Nottingham hehe
Hi , is it the Nottingham Trent University ? Thank u So much for your video 😍
No this is university of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent is different
i love this because i actually live in nottingham, so this is very helpful on deciding what i'm going to do after sixth form.
What accommodation hall are you staying at?
I was in Cavendish!
That’s was a cool perspective & Yh going out its great!
This seems to be a very nice place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job!
Thanks so much!!
How did you make friends in your hall to be going to eat with? Because all the rooms are in one corridor, how do you go about meeting people? Is it like a group chat? :)
Hey! Yeah so we joined a group chat a few months before uni so you could have a rough idea of some of the people you might meet. On the first day / first few weeks everyone is mingling in the common areas which is really great considering there are so many people in halls. Also, the dining hall is a great place too, as you can chat to loads of people there :)
omg were you in cavendish?? i recognise it because my brother was in there like 2 years ago😂 x
Yeah I was!! That’s so cool ☺️
omg what a cute uni!!!! omg i wish we had a cafeteria cuz ive literally lived of pasta for the last week ahahah xx
Awww thank you! It was a lifesaver hahah x
Helloo! How old are you?

Who’s watching this after getting there results?
Yep
asking as an international student...when do your results come out btw...in August?is it the university decisions results or???
do you have to pay for your food xxxx
In catered halls it’s included in the cost of accommodation x
Great video! You are lovely. Graduated there long time ago. Whats your IG? I am a Journalist maybe we can work together. Regards from USA.

i was wondering cause it's really cold there right? I'm peruvian and i'm thinking about studying a master in the NTU :)
Yes what a great idea!!!
Im editing a video I made about this now!
@@AimeeCohen yaaay!!!! thanks!
Good;)!!!
Thanks!!
hey there! it's so cool that i stumbled upon your video, I'm from the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus :)
Hey! Oh wow thanks for watching :) that’s so cool!
Hey, I've applied for accommodation on the Jubilee campus because I plan on taking Business. do you think having accommodation away from the main campus will take some of the uni vibes away?
heyy, as I don’t actually know anyone who was on jubilee I can’t answer with 100% facts, however I do know that the bulk of things happen on the main campus. but, being on jubilee they have made all of the main aspects available to you but on jubilee
Jubilee’s only 20-30 minutes walk from the main campus and there’s a free bus service you can take to go to main campus. A lot of students including me live around jubilee and walk to main campus everyday so it’ll just feel like an extension of the main campus imo. Most societies will be in the Main campus so you’d probably have to go there if you decide to join a society. My business student friend sometimes studies in the main campus science library (George Green Library) since the Jubilee campus library kinda has a weird atmosphere because of how it’s built 🤷♂️
how much work/reading do you do each day on average for history (not including lectures)??
i’d say probably only 1 hour on average (lol tbh I should have done way more but I found for first year it was honestly so chilled)
but that is also because I did joint honours so i’d say probably more like 1-2 hours x
Aimee Cohen yay thanks that’s calmed me down ! 😂
so pleased!😊
hey doll, i’ve applied for notts university and i was just wondering how long was your walk to your lectures and things? i’ve been given Nightingale hall (how is this hall btw do you know anything about it?) and im studying biology which is quite far away from my halls. i wasn’t sure if you had a similar experience in like distance and walking from your halls and your lectures x
hey! ahhh congrats you’ll love it :) so nightingale was literally next door to my hall and I know a few friends who were doing bio/medicine and it’s normally in the QMC which is quite a trek (25-30 min walk). however, there’s LOTS of students who are placed that way and tbh, from what my friends have said it just became part of their routine having to leave 10 mins or so before me for a lecture for example! hope that helped and if you have any other questions feel free to message on insta 🤍 x
Hi - I could potentially study History at Nottingham - how have you found studying History and how does it seem to rank compared to friends studying History at other unis (please do say which unis your friends are liking/not liking for History) thanks!
hey! so overall i’ve found the workload very small as you only need to do readings for weekly seminars and then courseworks which you have 4 across first year. obviously when it comes to exams there’s more work but outs have been cancelled due to corona so i can’t help you there sorry lovely. but, I do know the course is pretty much similar for other unis when speaking about birmingham and bristol
Aimee Cohen thanks a lot - turns out Birmingham and Bristol are two other unis I am also deciding between. You say the History course is pretty similar? So what made you chose Notts in the first place? Have you visited friends in B’ham/Bristol or heard from your friends there about how general uni life may compare with Notts?
oh wow no way! so overall I found notts in general (uni campus and town) WAY nicer than the others. it’s very american uni vibes if that’s something you like. but I found the course more modern at nottingham, but only by a teeny bit x
Aimee Cohen Have you found Notts to be particularly dangerous in any way or is it just a case of being careful where you go, just like other places?
not at all really, obviously there are places in town where you wouldn’t walk alone at night but campus is so safe all hours of the day x
This was so helpful!!!! Xx
So happy! thank you xx
Hi! Thanks for sharing your uni experience! I'll be studying at the Uni of Nottingham for my study abroad program. It's been postponed until next summer :(
Aww so glad you liked it! That’s so annoying :( wishing u all the best when u start
Starting Notts in Sep, body count gonna sky rocket, fek i'm gassed

Lmaooo 🤣🤣🤣
this looks so fun! are there a lot of international students in your accomodation? i'm from canada and interested to come here for an exchange year!
aww so happy you liked it! Honestly it’s been the best time of my life. There’s tonsss of internationals, especially from America and China so don’t worry about being on your own in that sense!
