ich bin immer wieder aufs neue überrascht, wie überirdisch diese stimme ist!... meine mutter konnte es nie glauben... sie meinte damals immer: ach die blödelt ja nur rum, die kann doch nix!.... bis ich ihr damals die schwarze witwe und seemann vorgespielt hatte.. meine mutter konnte es partout nicht glauben, dass das nina hagen war, die da sang.. und mit nur zwei liedern wurde meine mutter neben mir auch zu einem riesen fan von ninas stimme! mit der frau ist wirklich was los! luv u nina!

I guess that no one understands the irony. While we were listening to the Sexpistols in those days. Regular kids in the GDR ( DDR ) were bound to Robert Stolz melodien. She even referred to a movie in one of her songs where his music was played. She did that in her own dark confronting manner. How distopian it might seem nowadays... people were tracked and controlled..even got killed. So think again and put it in perspective. Nina...as always ..is making a point.
