Sir, we need an action plan. It has to be a start. It may not go well until enough of us have put together a following of drivers from all states. We should talk about how this can take shape. It has to be a platform that doesnt get deraild like political matters do. There are some existing entities that may support such a cause. I think the supportt of the citizens in the US will need to be a key role in this as lowering the cost of goods and transporting them has to benefit them, or it just will not work out well. It has to work. My question is why hasnt this been done already? Is this all another angle of the destruction of America? Like Fentanyl has been allowed to be?

They lie as well. They tell you that the pick up is at 7am on the load board and then when you get the driver instructions it says 7pm the next day.

I did my best to treat my drivers right. I quoted $14,000 for a superload from Georgia to florida. Police, escorts, bucket trucks, the works. I got slammed down to 6,000. Not happening. Stupid low and unrealistic. That didn’t even cover the insurance! I’m sorry, last I checked I was the oversize specialist who had an idea of the costs. My oversize drivers were the best, and I’m still friends with them! Anyway… It got moved at 26,000. Separate trucking companies. 10 loads. For one driver that would’ve made their year, and saved the customer money and made one owner operator very happy. Respect to my drivers! I miss all y’all!

I'll tell you what the brokers do. We call companies and try to get ahold of someone who is in charge of logistics. This may only take 1 call, but to be honest it will take on average 100 calls JUST TO TALK to someone who can make a decision. Then we will probably talk to that person for WEEKS so that we can build a relationship with them to the point where they trust us enough to move ONE truck load, and even then we have to set up a quote, figure out what kind of truck is necessary, how heavy the load is, dimensions of the freight and how much gas is going to cost based on all that applied to the miles. At this point we MAY BE win a single FTL truck load, if we beat the other 10 guys also bidding on it, which WE become responsible for. If we can manage to win that lane, then, and only then do we begin to post the load and call carriers to move it. Let's say we win a Laredo to Modesto Dry load for 4200, it's around 1700 miles and 42000 pounds. We then negotiate with carriers who ask for 5000 dollars to move it, CONVINCED that we have more money than we actually do. We will probably book it for 3900 to 4100, let's just say we agree on 4000. After TQL takes their cut (anywhere from 50% to 75% depending on the seniority of the broker) the broker, who put in probably around 20 hours into this, walks away with 50 to MAYBE 100 dollars. Brokers do not make their money on the quality single loads. We make our money on quantity of many loads. Sure, there are bad brokers out there trying to make huge rips off of single shipments, but those are the VAST minority. We work A LOT, and its so we can get to the point of making good money down the line. Listen if you think you can do all that work just to secure a SINGLE load then deliver it then do it all over again then be my guest.

We need to set up a Date that we start a boycott. It needs to happen. We need to hire a lobbyist to change the laws so that we aren't paying high fuel prices, High towing fee's, High mechanical fee's. It's like a feeding frenzy on Truckers. So hold on, all these brokers I speak with to pickup my loads are not in the usa? They are in India? Interesting... I prefer to deal with drivers when shipping or receiving short distance loads. I wonder how this would work for OTR loads. Plus how do o mitigate risks and insurance when dealing directly with drivers?
