The mother turtle lays the eggs on the beach and buries them. Staff monitors the nests, and when they hatch, they carefully collect them and put them on a path to get to the ocean.

@@cruisinaltitude Researchers have uncovered that turtles use the earth’s magnetic field as their own Global Positioning System (GPS). By sensing the field, they can work out both their latitude and longitude and head in the right direction. So even though they may wander hundred/thousands of miles from place of birth, they can find their way back to create their own nests and lay eggs in the same spot they were born. 🐢

They were sweet, and I was paying in EC dollars because I bought US dollars from the UK. US dollars are easier to get than EC dollars. But need to get EC for my next trip. Tired of paying more.
