The Lahore Fort شاہی قلعہ,is a citadel in the city of Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan. It contains 21 notable monuments, some of which date to the era of Emperor Akbar. Lahore Zoo is situated at prime area on the Mall, Lahore adjacent to Lawrence Garden spreading overall area of 25 acres. It was established in 1872. It remained under control with various organizations / department i.e. Lahore Municipal Corporation, District Administration, Lahore, Livestock and Dairy Development department before its transfer to Punjab Wildlife department in 1982.

Lahore zoo became more beautiful after renovation.

This area is actually the outskirts of the main village which is located near Akhund Panju Babasaib mazaar and mainly consists of lush green orchids.
