EcoVia EC is classified as a minimum-risk pesticide by the US EPA. It does not leave behind any toxic residues. If you spray the bees or beneficial insects directly they will die. But it they will not die from any residues. They will probably be repelled for a short period of time.

Hi Mob, there are different forms of silicas, and they are not all the same. CimeXa is formulated using Silicon Dioxide as Amorphous Silica as the active ingredient. The term Amorphous means non-crystalline. CimeXa does not have the crystalline structure and does not cause silicosis like Crystalline Silica Dust. Hello Joe, thanks for your question. We have not had any reports of CimeXa causing illness or lung disease. CimeXa is an amorphous silica dust, not a crystalline silica dust. Crystalline silica dust is known to cause silicosis if breathed chronically. Amorphous silica does normally have desiccating (drying) properties, so inhalation of dust during application can be irritating and should be minimized (a particulate dust mask is recommended for application). But it is not considered hazardous. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
