I tried this method on my last lesson and found it easy to remember compared to the first way I was being taught.. my instructor said I was too far back (im sure i was within 2 car lengths though) and car wasnt totally straight when i had completed it.. instructor wants me to keep gping with first method :( better keep practicing. Also what i liked about this method is that its much easier to get out after it has been completed. Where as the first way its much closer and harder to get the car away when the park has been completed.

I did this route last week and thankfully watched your video before hand and passed with 1 minor!! Thank you.

It’s literally the same and your stopping to a zero the only difference is your ruining your clutch by using it to stop, YOU NEVER USE YOUR CLUTCH TO STOP THATS CALLED RIDING YOUR CLUTCH, if the vehicle is moving fast you have no reason to have your foot on the clutch to stop, I’ve had to do quick stops and I can assure popping into neutral to stop has the absolute best stopping power

I know every car is slightly different, but my Dad gave me some sage advice when I got my first manual car a month ago - Take your current gear and multiply it by 5 to find out roughly how slow you can go without stalling. So: 1st Gear = 5mph 2nd = 10mph So on and so forth. Has helped me a lot when it comes to slowing down for turns or approaching lights.

He should have put disclaimer saying "instructions only for 1st world countries"😂

I’ve got my test tomorrow, okay I’ll stop binge watching after watching this video. I’ve asked my instructor to drive me near the test center, do a few maneuvers and that’s it. I’m a bit nervous but I’ll handle it. If I have to sing in the car to relax me, I’ll sing to the examiner 😅. ( my best drives is when the radio is on)

Im driving a Mokka and the pedals are set up so that i have yi lift my foot and leg to move from accelerator to clutch. Ive tried the swivel but its not working. Wondering what car you are driving as it looks better for this

i always thought you had to add a bit of gas when shifting down from 3rd to 2nd or else the car wont act right

If you don’t have a SatNav, what does the driving instructor do? Because I heard 1 in 5 tests are road signs, but what if you’re apart of the 4 who are satnav, do they bring one with them?
