Glenriding Dodd is brutal with a wildcamping bag. I done it after a trip to.the pub 😮 Love Sheffield Pike. The route you mentioned down past the quarry has some lush waterfalls. Good that giant extinct bird (cant spell teradac....) didnt eat Derek he got some lovely drone shots on this one 😀

Camped Glaramara twice, its a really good mountain and it's not as busy. Try Middle Fell, only small height wise but wow up there with best views in the lakes. Nice vid 👍

I enjoyed that, I am heading to Norfolk this weekend for some Birthday MTB exploring, too muddy here in Yorkshire,. If you look on an auction site for VW plastic/valet/surf key or similar you can get a plastic key blank with a stout ring to wear around your neck or wherever, i clip mine on the in built pocket carabiner in my helly hansen rain jacket. and leave the proper key nice and dry in the under passenger seat safe, or if 2 of us go out, take a key each. The plastic key will not start the van but it opens the doors, and my thinking is if i loose it i can break into my van and retrieve the real key at least then i am in the van and safe, and a side window is less £'s and agro than a new key programming. I am pretty sure i have seen someone selling them classed as surf keys and they will cut them to match a photo of your original key so you do not have to bother getting it cut, The other thing i have seen done is leave the key in a key safe attached to vehicle,( behind rear light cover on tailgate ones). Did you fit a diesel heater yet, i can not remember? they are a real game changer i have done many if you want to pick my brains. DTE TV youtube channel fitted a nice small one under a transporter drivers seat last week too. Ed

I think the Brasher Country Masters have the same Vibram soles as Berghaus own them too. I find them also quite slippery on certain surfaces. Similarly, they have a loose ankle area for my fairly narrow feet and require creative lacing to ensure no blisters (or wear thicker socks). That said, also very comfortable. so yes, comfortable death.

Love a new boot day, nearly went Salewa myself but as you in the Berghaus I'm always slipping over so went for La Sportiva with a vibram mega grip sole. Enjoy Skye mate, it's a great island. We're off to the Uists next month so really looking forward to that.

I have the Salawa I love them I went one size up after reading reviews comfort from day one.

Your not only insulating the floor from cold as well as the ceiling from cold ingress but also as important is insulation of walls and roof to prevent sumner heat causing a very hot van in summer

Adding unnecessary weight to the build is the enemy and adding extra unnecessary dodo mat might make you regret it in future as that’s payload you can’t add to take on trips!
