Diverse Locomotives: Rush Hour on New Jersey Transit
12/22/24:
This is just a quick video from out in Ho Ho Kus, NJ on the NJT Main/Bergen County Line of what a typical evening rush hour looks like. This is one of the more interesting commuter mainlines as there is a diverse array of locomotive power on any given train from old GP40 and F40 types to modern ALP-45s. Enjoy this rush of action from NJ Transit and stay tuned for a bunch of long-format videos to come!

Great video! Started at 38:50 I love seeing huge, heavy coal trains battling the grade with exhaust blasting out of the stacks, and the prime movers roaring. I am assuming that that train is in run 8, although it might be a little too slow for that.
What I like about the FEC railway is that you would see intermodal and mixed freight on 1 train
The PP&L trains with 3 Sd60I's and a 4 set of 40E's were equally impressive
