Why is there no other live performances, full concerts, bootlegs, etc from the In Reverse tour?! All I can ever find is live versions of What Matters because it was the single to promote the album. I want to hear Thunderstorm and other great songs live! I'd also like to see/hear a full show from the Living Things tour.

The lead guitarist way over to Matthew's left, that's my college friend Pete! RIP, d. 2015. It's enough of a trip to see your friend on National TV. But it's even crazier to see him play the same guitar that he played dozens of times in my basement band parties senior year as well as countless other parties and gigs around Providence during college.

You can tell how loud they are, but vocals still cut.

All the Richard Lloyd fans coming in here with lack of respect for Sweet is mind blowing. Altered Beast is a jackhammer of greatness and I love Television too.

I remember watching this decades ago and thinking "that dude soloing sucks. it's not right. it's off." decades later, I'm able to come on the web and say it. it sucks. this song is amazing and his off key solo patterns are trash. such trash. ruined this tv performance. i am so so so mad.

If I dare compare him to other singers,is style is not professional. There is still some refinement necessary , requirements that he didn’t reach. It always sounds amateur. He just can’t get to that professional level. I know he’s loved and that’s good. He’s always sketchy.

Everything else said, he’s also one of the great rock and roll guitar players! Superb.

Mathew Sweet played the soundtrack to every heartbreak of my young life. Ironically (poetically) it was one that crushed me hardest gave me her Girlfriend CD shortly before breaking up. She must have known something I didn't understand yet. Of course, I thank the gods I did not end up w anyone who could give away such an album. What Matters is another favorite.
