Thanks for showing this Merak. I really don't like the videos where the camera is always pointed at the driver. I like how you switch back and forth between the two of you and especially how you show the forward view and instruments etc. You really know how to shoot an interior car video.

Another one-handed driver of a manual which some may say is a little dangerous in a car eith over 500 bhp. Resting his hand on the lever and no doubt his foot on the clutch pedal which will knacker the bearing. Why can't people pronounce Aston correctly? It's not Astin Martin. A delicious car which, I'm afraid is a target for the jealous and the moronic JSO crowd. A good friend of mine sold his Bentley Continental because it was such a hassle parking it safely. He now drives a Van into his local town.

I have the same car. I drive it every day to go grab my coffee and my back is fine, but you are absolutely right about the coffee holder. I am surprised you describe the sound of the car as being good. It is not « good », it is incredibly sexy, it is exceptional, it is the best sounding car I know, especially when you cold start it, and when you take it high into the revs. Thanks!

Nice review guys. Love the engines in these, so unique and it doesn’t sound like a hopped up 4 cylinder like the Ferrari 308 does. Merak SS is indeed a far better road car than a 308, just more useable and handles better.

Delighted you posted a new video as last week I nearly unsubscribed as nothing had happened for so long! My old Boss had one brand new and there was a palm print on the front wing under the lacquer, he went ballistic when it was pointed out to him!

I have one. Bought in 2003 with 135.000kms, and now with 370.000. I'm from Portugal e I had crossed europe 3 time in it, one of them from Oporto to Berlin. My opinion is suspect, but it seems it is a good car ;)

Beautiful car! Same timeless Bertone lines as the smaller GTV, & of course the symphonic Alfa sound. If the GTV was a violin, this would be the viola.

Lovely video, epic car and the soundtrack from that V6 is just gorgeous, and I love the owners passion and emotive descriptions of driving his car. He is a lucky man, these are very beautiful and incredibly rare classic cars. I also watch Mark's Italian Garage here on CZcams as he is a specialist Fiat Dino restoration expert. thanks for posting I had a 2.2. 5cyl in exact same colour for a few years and loved it. Did 100 miles a day in it for many years on a commute. Easy getting past lorries and slow cars and it handled nicely. Sturdy and dead easy to service I used to do it all myself. Unfortunately it attracted car thieves like mad and I had to get the door fixed three times from attempted break-ins. I used to remove the HT lead when parked at night so even when they broke into the car they couldn't start it! It had to go when we had family, but some fond memories of it.

Had a GT back in the late 1990s, £300.00 I paid for it with a brand new radiator, I loved it👍😘

It’s just a story Enzo made up after he won the F1 championship twice with the immortal F500 F1 which was of course an F2 but the Scuderia never raced it as an F2. Lampredi wanted to build a V6 but Enzo didn’t like that. Until’61 that is since the 156 Sharknose was made because of the rules.. again. Driving F2 cars in F1 and that’s the reason he needed Fiat. Etcetera
