Disney Cruise Line loves to start horn battles. Though when I was on a cruise (different line, can’t remember which one, and I don’t think we took part), they were docked next to us. I had watched some of the videos a few weeks before and knew exactly what was going on.

Any horn battle a Disney ship gets into is an automatic DQ as they don't have an actual horn!

Lovely small layout, very nicely detailed and gives a great aura of a little rundown yard. Got to agree with you on the modelling Boomer puts out, some of it is just jaw dropping and watching his stuff has made me far less worried about scratch building. Although his buildings look complicated when he shows you how it's done methodically and simply.

Good Luck with Project only one thing Lima motors always sound like a bag of nails but body are then Hornby model in the 90s. 👍

I have a Hornby J83 which also has the same motor as your J52. Like yours it makes a peculiar grinding noise but mainly when running forwards but I can live with that as the model is a superb slow runner. In reverse it is much quieter. The body is not as detailed as the J52 and has some slightly strange proportions, mainly I suspect to enable it to fit the standard chassis. However, I have videoed some simple modifications and weathered it slightly and it now looks quite a lot better, Regards Keith. BTW I love your layout.

If your wondering why the Dreams horns were quiet it’s because it uses loud speakers and not real horns, which is why she and the Fantasy is so quiet even when the ship is legit right next to you.

Great looking map. The fence is a good touch. Apply a hint of weathering to those railcars and a few figures and it will floor people. :)
