3 Signs You Are Not Actively Listening
I made it to D GM management! My previously manager was mean to to me. She didn't want to show me stuff. Now I got to be able to make people do what I need to be done!!
How to make people listen to your directions? You have to motivate the person to do what I need them to do. They said.
Hey Drew, I just love your content. do you edit by yourself?
Thanks
Dude starts a video on open-ended questions with a closed question.
you are the most underrated mentor
Thank you my friend.
Massive thanks for sharing this, your brother would be happy to know how his life pushed you in a way to do what you do i.e. help people to improve their lifes.
Thank you @fernandobautista3200! I like to believe that myself.
A friend won't do anything he rather be lazy person and make excuses not to get it done they want others to do for them
Maybe it’s time for a new friend.
Ai Buddy, use an optical image stabilization mode on the camera, so even if your handshake, it will be a great video.
Where is the link???
I no longer offer the influence assessment.
Tone matters... 1. Tell me about...? 2. What if it doesnt work that way? (If the need to modify their plan 3. What does it look like for you (to share their opinion) 4. What do think it means? (Not accusatory; in a curious tone) 5. Anything else or what else? 6. For example or can you give me an example 7. If you could do it again, what do you think you would do differently? 8. Great idea, What will it take to get that done. 9. How will you know when youve reached that goal? Begin with the end in mind 10. How do you think this is all going to work out.l?
🤟🤟
Very Thanks To You❤️ It was very easy to understand... The language ,the behaviour is very complicated as compared to others❤️
Thank you! I am happy that you were able to easily understand the message. I know that if you put the teaching into practice you will be able to master the skills. Best of luck to you!
@@DrewTJackson I AGREE 😌
The hero we all need
YES
But encouragement humanizes the employee. And that would level the playing field. Now your subordinate is more of an equal. And the bosses don't like being equal with those beneath them. What you're addressing, requires a leader who isn't full of their ego. Sounds like a steep up hill battle.
You are so right, Aaron! The key is for leaders to let go of their insecurities and serve their team. People think that holding on to power and control will make them more valuable to the organization, but this is so wrong. Great leaders understand that their value comes from being able to accomplish work with and through their team. When I have conversations with young leaders and explain it this way I see major breakthroughs in their understanding.
Love your attitude great videos from you
Thank you!
Transparency, communication, and selflessness.
I love those 3 Michael, great additions!
What tips do you have on building trust with your team?
What is your favorite open-ended question? Post it below 👇
So good Drew!
What if members on my team do not know what they need?
Great question! When this happens in my coaching sessions I try to probe a little deeper and ask the question in a different way. I will also ask folks to think on the question and get back to me in a week or so. The trust and rapport you are seeking to build with your team will happen just by asking the question. If they do not come up with anything it may be because you are a rock star leader and they have all they need to be successful on your team! Great question my friend, so good to hear from you!
Great, video Drew!!
Thank you my friend!

Awesome, thank you, Barbara!
Great topic…definitely need to think on this
Thanks, Travis! Yes, it is a good question to think on. The opportunity is too big to pass up.
I subscribed and liked your works because you are doing great work, but please don't exaggerate too much.
Thank you. Help me understand what you mean by exaggerating, is there a particular video or portion of a video that you are referencing. Thanks for the feedback.
I didn’t hear any mention of a company wanting or willing to make changes. There was a comment that alluded to corporate culture being a problem. I quit/retired because the company would not address a problem. I wanted to work 5 more years. I knew the company wouldn’t change because the company refused to address the issue. Within 2 years 3 other people quit/retired for similar reasons. We were all in a key support area. The company still exists but I doubt they made any changes.
Your experience is something that I hear often when I speak with leaders. I shared a teaching recently with my book launch team and I told them that in my experience, 90% of people do not quit for money, they quit because of a person. They quit/retire for the same reason you did, they have tried to address the problem and it fell on deaf ears. This is a tough lesson to learn for a senior leader/business owner, due to the confidentiality nature of my business, I cannot come out and tell these CEO's that their people are quitting because they won't address a problem. The best thing I can do is encourage their leadership team to continue to address the problem. Great insights, Deep Sleep, thank you for commenting.
@@DrewTJackson : I wish I could give you more than 1(one) thumbs up. BTW, the last straw, if you will, was a person.
@@deepsleep7822 unfortunately the last straw usually is a person. Thank you for commenting and sharing your experience.
Great content Drew, this was really helpful.
Glad it was helpful! I apologize for the late response, I didn't receive a notification of the comment. I will keep the articles coming my friend.
These are great questions but suspects of an offence. Tend to answer open ended questions with their alibi.
Thank you for the kind words.

Seems Insincere... .
How so?
What does?
In what way?
I understand why you would feel/say that. It seems disingenuous, manipulative, slightly coercive or premeditated.
Drew! Thank you for the help! Never felt dreams were possible till hearing your words that make so much sense!
That's awesome Jeremy! I am so happy you have had that breakthrough. The best is yet to come for you my friend!
