It is illegal to cut down any tree on public land in New Zealand, obviously ok where you live?
Hi Don. As I wrote to you a few years ago (so I imagine you don't remember), I also own a "Svante Djärv". You told me that it's a good axe but difficult to sharpen: I agree! Do you have any advice on how to do it best? What do you use? Bye
If it is very dull, you should use a file. If it just need sharpening I use sandpaper on a flat stick, and finish with stropping on leather on a flat stick, with some car polish on. :)
@@DonVonGun Thank you, Don... Even though there are many out there: why don't you make a video dedicated to sharpening an axe? PS: What do you think of the "Gransfors" stone? Ciao
You’re also using way too many bricks four rows of bricks that’s it top bottom two standing up then two nice rows getting skinnier and put a metal plate on the top for your cook area with a aluminum vent, coming out the back going up
You need to stand the first two rows on the bottom bricks upward on their side make the fire brick box bigger and you can’t cook with kindling you need to be able to put two nice size logs in there once you got a bed of Kohl’s to cook
Extremely impressive
Great production, loved it
Muito bom! Agradeço por compartilhar. Taciano, Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil.
Thanks for this. You have a good helper there with you!
I think this is a great video Don. I can't wait to try this out.
Brother, I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's just not fair. You put your heart into that place. I know by now you've probably moved on but still angers me. Anyway, I've been watching your videos, and seriously, wow! Your the real deal! Bushcraft skills are off this grid
Meget imponerende
OUTSTANDING idea! Thank you!
The advantages to your camp chair is it uses less wood than the tripod chairs I've seen, plus one good long log will do the trick. In a survival or long trek to reach the spot that means less energy spent when you feel the need to keep off the ground, Wood ticks, chiggers not withstanding. By knocking off the bark it seems good to go without unwelcome company.
Superb and thank you 👍🇬🇧
So peaceful
The arm rotations& hitting ur cup had me❤
You're the real deal brother! Really enjoyed watching this, thanks for sharing with us.
i laughed so hard when ...it never happens lol ...great to hear you talk to 😊

Appreciate y'all spotlighting our titanium kettle, canteen, and bottle in your video, Søren. Looks like y'all brewed up some mighty fine cowboy coffee, reckon it's got me hankerin' to give it a shot too.
Yeah no. You don’t need to boil the piss out of it. You don’t need to boil it at all.
just don't buy sausage in Sweden.
Costa rican coffee

Nice job not showing how to do it at all!
Great tutorial. I’ve been doing cowboy coffee for years both on the stove and campfire. Love it!

great video friend! brought back memeories i use cold water method but will try some of other ways you mentioned good to see you and effie back take care looking forward to more.
Thank you for the lesson. I like the cold water method as well. I pour it slowly from about 2 feet. (.6 meters). I'll try it your method. Tak for lektionen. Jeg kan også godt lide koldtvandsmetoden. Jeg hælder det langsomt fra omkring 2 fod. (0,6 meter). Jeg vil prøve din metode.
Good idea with the height, that will help set the grounds in motion. :)

Cool! Thanks! Going to try smth like that this summer with my kid. But with some improvement: going to use bearing instead of birch in the palm (sorry for my english)
nice!!!
😊
Thanks Soren👍👍 Cowboy coffee is my favorite process, boil twice then add cold water to settle the grounds. May be other ways but for taste there's no other way that comes close for me. The newer Ninja coffee machines are pretty good tbh, so many options from one machine. Good to see you and Musen out and about. Enjoy!
That's what I prefer as well. :)
You deserves more subscribers 👍👍👍
What a nice and informative video. Always learn something. I have to say I would probably prefer the mild and round. The other looks/sounds like it would put hair on my chest🤣. Thank you for the video.
Thanks Ann :) The double boil is my favourite, it only gets bitter if it boils for a longer period. Try both. :)
Music to my ears❤ Im laughing at all these extreme measures arm twirls Coffee pot dead lifts U funny funny man So happy to see you again❤
Great video! I am multigenerational ranching family in SW US. We gave up boiling coffee when they came out with percolating coffee pots! 😆
Yes, they make good coffee. :)
Bottoms up my friend ! Enjoy your day Søren
