Sweet, melodic songs about death and killing. No one does it better than Glenn Allen Anzalone. Major props to Metallica for honoring one of their early influences on stage.
My friends and I lived this album through the prime of our youth in the Autumns of 89-93. That change in the weather when you feel the days get cooler as you move out of the sweltering heat of the summer and the colors of the natural world change around you. We danced in combat boots and howled like primal beasts around bon fires at dusk and drank like bohemians at the setting of the sun as we threw off the problems in our lives. To this day we still remember.

Misfits were Cliffs thing he even had the skull tattoo.So by default I'm sure that turned into a Samhain thing.This came out in 86.If I am remembering correctly I think Cliff died in 86

Everytime November comes around I always blast this entire album from In My Grip to Human Pony Girl. It is the best album to listen to during Halloween and Autumn and the many times I have seen Danzig he has never performed any songs from this album. I mean I even saw him do Misfits but Samhain is even more special than the Misfits at least in my opinion.
