Excellent review Coach Alex and like the higher camera angle in this video. Would have definitely preferred if Babolat instead re-released the Aeropro Drive Original from 2004 with that same sleek black color with the yellow stripes. The paintjob is so ugly in this Origin, in my opinion that not even Rafa is rocking it, lol. Hoping that Raquetteville will have the heavier Origin version with that monster 360 swingweight for you to try it!

  • @sebastiandomagala9233

No. If you mean that racquet nerds are looking for something to show off, it wonÂŽt work anyway. Because for showing off you need someone to recognize what you are showing. And only other racquet nerds will know what an Angell or Solinco (or any other company with less than 1% market share) racquet is in the first place. I have NEVER seen anybody recognize my Yonex Regna. And I donÂŽt care. I didnÂŽt chose it because I want to show off. A Prince Phantom for a fraction of the cost (and the option to demo it as well) would have done the job just as well. I chose the Regna because the specs were so much perfect for me that I just couldnÂŽt say no when I had the opportunity to order a pair. An Ezone Tour is actually just as good, but I donÂŽt really like the VDM. The Regna is the first racquet that I ever bought without demoing before, and boy was I right to order it blind! I never had so much joy when hitting the ball, even when I mishit. Racquet nerds have another advantage: whenever I see someone come up with a Pure Drive 100 I know my opponent will be no match for me. I have never come across anybody who really knows how to play and swings a PD 100. But when I see a Head Extreme Tour (now renamed Pro) I know that my day is going to be tough. Nobody choses such an ugly racquet without knowing what to do with it.

Good choice of string to do a review Coach Alex! Actually regular 4G was my go-to string for many many years due to its superb control. For me it had decent comfort, only on a weighted up frame. I would never use it on a light stock racquet, since there is little weight to absorb the string’s vibration due to its high stiffness. However, since transitioning to lighter frames, I had to give up 4G and go for a string like the Head Lynx, which I’m now using on my 2024 Speed MP Legend. However, I did hear from some people, that any rough version of the luxilon strings could feel softer, which makes me want to try the 4G rough!

Knowledge is power. On the other hand, we can believe that tennis is for pleasure and not for "winning at all costs", and if a more demanding racquet is more enjoyable (always if is not too heavy or stiff), I think is the way to go

    I’m definitely guilty of it
BUT at the same time I can recognise the difference in feel (for my taste at least ) with a heavier racquet. I gravitate today on a 333/338 gr finished racquet so I guess is about 310/315 gr naked and the feel with the plow through is just different . There is people that heavily relate to arm speed and others , like me that “need” that difference because they can’t swing so quick ( strenght , age , you name it ) but with a good timi g and complete stroke can play very good anyway . I owned a LOT of racquets and today I play with PA98 / VCORE98 and PURE strike 98 but sometimes I really enjoy just relax with a bigger size 104 285 like Gravity Tesm and just flow eith the rally without trying to destroy everyball . As a recreational player nowadays I recognise the neverending will to hit winners but at the end of the journey id the hit itself that is the reward ! A perfect , in front hit with nice footwork and good weight transfer is rhe reward and the feel comi g from a Prestige MP or a 97/98 you name it
95 for the braves or just a wooden racquet just destroy the experience with big profiled dtiffer sticks like PureDrive . It is just a fact . It is not about the easy of use or the km/h you can serve but them feelz đŸŽŸđŸ’š

Yer I know where your coming from here! LOL I am 64! Average club player! but I can't make my mind up what to play with now! I have so many different rackets! I consider my self allcourt old school flat hitter! Double handed backhand. So this is what I have: Donnay pro one (xenecore) Prince t100p, Prince t100 290, Prince 290 o3 ports, Wilson blade CV, Wilson blade 100v v9, Wilson 5 Triad, Technifibre 305 16x19, Angell TC100, Angell TC 99 18x19, 2 x Angell react 99 18x19 different specs, Angell 97 18x20 Head speed MP 2024, Head speed MPL 2022, Wilson 6.1 team, 2 x Prokennex Ki5 295 think thats it! Upto 5 years ago blade was my favourite but the weight ie SW made it tough due to Wilson shocking QC! I had the 2015 version which i gave away due to couldn't handle the racket anymore again due to QC problems! I started trying and buying different rackets due to surgery on shoulder then elbow! Wanted to have the power & control of my pro one with out the weight! But found it was harder to player with lighter rackets felt something was missing! Then recently started to realise i am getting to old to play with heavy control thin beam rackets. so started playing with different 100s, but i am reluctant to move from certain types been using Angell react, Prokennex Ki 5, and speed MP, Found the speed MP to be a little hard to handle, the speed mpl with weight added to give me 305g strung helps me serve better! However the high launch angle doesn't help my flat forehand! The Angell react 18 x 19 at a 305g strung with extra 1/4" plays well however think the SW makes it a little harder (298 unstrung) also feeling a little uncomfortable in my arm! The Prokennex come in at 314g strung, this seems to suit my game the most better than the react in comfort. the react slightly more power! But find both can do everything well! Should play with the prokennex but favour the Angell because its different and looks nicer! LOL Strange because in the UK you can't buy the prokennex and Angell is not very well known! So I have fallen for the this is different sort of thinking! I am now considering the lighter Prokennex Ki5 or Q5 100s both 16x20 think i need to get real and play with what i can handle rather thinking about my image!

A great topic to cover Coach Alex! Personally I was guilty of that too when I was using the RF97, but I did play decent with it still but when I started playing more higher level players it really hindered me! The Vostra V4 is an excellent racquet. It is similar to the V-Cell 4 but with more control and slightly less power. Best results I have found have been with Volkl V-Square 18g at 52 lbs. Volkl Cyclone is not nearly as good a string as the V-Square which gives more spin to control the power of this frame.

The small sweetspot led me to add weight to the hoop, but switched to the 2024 Speed MP due to elbow issues with the Babolat. Now, no more launching the ball into the fence and my elbow is happy!!
