While the PP 62DSP was specially developed for plug & play applications, the M 5.4DSP offers versatile application possibilities in the car audio sector. For example, with the ACO platform, the M 5.4DSP provides enhanced configuration and sound tuning functions. Additionally, the M 5.4DSP is equipped with a HighPower mode, resulting in higher output power on channels A-D compared to the PP 62DSP. @@audiotecfischer9748 thank you. i have one remaining question. i have read that some people notice an elevated noise floor, ambient noise with all M 5.4DSP devices, even when exchanged for a second one and all settings resettet. As i am quite sensitive to noticeable noise floor or ambient noise in quiet passages of classical music, does the pp62 /pp86 dsp has lower noise floor compared to the M 5.4 DSP?

@@johnmachter40All three amps have a very comparable ground noise. But we notice that several car radios today have an elevated ground noise which will be further gained by adding an external amplifier. Besides that it is important to make sure that the overall gain of the M 5.4DSP is properly set in our DSP PC-Tool software. Some people tend to increase the gain although the default value is the best choice in almost every use case. Best regards

@Audiotec Fischer What I and others would REALLY like to see in order to support your dealers & end users is a COMPLETE SERIES of *PC TOOL 5 Training Videos* that walk dealers and end users through the ENTIRE start-to-finish TUNING PROCESS from A to Z. It's really the least Audiotec-Fischer could do given the complexity of these products and the significant investment in time and money by both dealers and end users to purchase, install, and implement these products. In my experience, it has been very frustrating and saddening to see so many new customers complain and be so disappointed in the performance and the results of their significant investment into a new and expensive DSP "Tuned" system after having it be so hyped up with promises of "Amazing" results. :( It would be in Audiotec-Fischer's absolute best interest to provide a "correct", consistent, and repeatable tuning process guide for its dealers and end users to follow and implement, which would alleviate or eliminate 99% of the dissatisfied customers and dealer pushback. The PROPER set up and "Tuning" of a DSP-based system is no trivial task, even with the advancements in the tools and tech such as the updated "Auto-EQ" functionality. And there are so many dealers, installers, and end users with misinformation and misguided "tuning techniques" or processes, that it is no wonder why so many people have a bad experience and shy away from or dismiss the value and performance of investing in the use of a DSP!!! Audiotec-Fischer has the power and resources to change ALL OF THAT if they would only produce a full series of concise interactive training videos! And I would want this information and instruction to come straight from Julian and the actual developers of the hardware and software tools, not a 3rd party.

Hello, the amplifier can drive either only the under-seat subwoofers or a PP 7S-D subwoofer. For more bass performance we recommend to connect e.g. a HELIX M ONE amplifier in combination with a HELIX K 10E.2 subwoofer to the Line Output of the PP 86DSP. Best regards!

Hello, The PP 86DSP has to be connected directly to the battery by using adequate cables and the positive cable should be provided with a main fuse at a distance of max. 30 cm from the battery. What you said is true, their DSP lineups is not one of the best but best in the world, nothing come close.. I heard that from many car audio enthusiasts.. and don't forget their amplifier as well.. truly among one of the best in the world right now

Hello, A red flashing LED means that the currently selected sound setup memory is empty. A new setup has to be loaded via the DSP PC-Tool software from our website (www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/matchdatabase/soundIndex) or the internal MicroSD card reader or switch to the second memory position with existing sound setup. In the Option 676 Sound system, the mids and tweeters are powered from the head unit and the subs are powered by the amp… does this only replace the sub amp?

Will upgrading the B&W 6f1 system in the m8 be a significant improvement?
