Does anyone else fish that spot? Someone probably hooked him and they killed him trying to get the hook back. The was a snapping turtle at a farm pond i fishedthat had 2 treble hooks through his bottom jaw
You know, i have caught turtles at this location several times and take the hook out and release them. So i guess it is possible that someone snagged him. But not many people come here. Good answer, didn't even occur to me.
Nothing sucks like having a fish on and getting snagged. Sometimes youll get lucky and itll stay on.

Nah, it's just that today was an exceptional one! Believe me, the past 3 days were very few and far in between for catching. I'm a new fisherman. Only started about 8 months ago, i'm a late starter Sir! Happy Exploring out there Nuttinmuch!

I literally just started using it about a month ago, i'm a new fisherman! I knew about the spinner lures and hook and sinker or hook and bobber. I like how it wiggles around in the water and jerky movements and that it works because it mimics a little erratic fish! Happy Casting out there Bradley!

I always try Dave! But like today it can be a little frustrating because i got snagged 3 times and lost 3 $5 lures! Fishing can get a little expensive for sure, so that just means i need to cast a little better Lol! Happy Trails Sir!

I'm good either way! i got one yesterday and today. I usually catch the ones with blue lines on the face, that's why when i catch something new i get excited! I also lost a couple nice lures in that snag spot!
Im so jealous of your fishing spots. I have a jon boat with a VERY high quality fish finder. But guess what? The medicine ive recently been on made me terrified of my boat and large bodies of water. I spent a years worth of savings for nothing. (For now) Ill get back at it soon enough.
It's nice having good fishing spots but it does not guarantee fish every time. a lot of time, mistakes, money (supplies), cussing...all goes into it. sometimes you get fish, sometimes you do not. I must confess that i've been on a roll here lately! But you have a boat and i do not so get out there put that thing to use!
Man, youve got some GREAT places to go fishing. You oughta try a texas rig senko or craw of any kind. Bigger bass eat bigger lures. Any fish would make me happy though. I havnt went fishing in weeks.

@@Blueskies_23 Thalossiphonia I think it's called. (I just googled it) Lol It's a fear of large bodies of water. I go out on a large river about 500-1000 yards away from a dam. (Above the dam at that) I got out on this medicine that gradually.made me scared of everything. Last time I got on my boat I got about 20 feet from shore and was completely paralyzed in fear. Haven't tried since then. I'm off the meds so hopefully when it's.out of.my system I can get back out there and fish. Lol

@@Blueskies_23 When I fish at the dam, I reel in lures alot. That place is a treasure trove of lures.
It's a red ear sunfish. People call them shell crackers. They have a spot on the back of their throat to help crush snails and whatnot. Blue gill doesn't do that. But They have stripes. So does true bluegill. That's not a true bluegill though.
Fish jump out of the water for food or if it is being chased by something.

@@Blueskies_23 I had a fish tank with guppies and they would get in the filter and ride the water down over and over again. It seriously seemed like they were having fun.
