Steve’s vision is not an option to consider, it’s a NECESSITY. No questions. President Murthy needs to take this very, very seriously and assist in any way possible. Steve has been extremely patient and resilient against the “headwinds” of apathy towards former players and the program itself. This was an elite program when Ralph, Steve J, Gary, AC, Charlie, Mark, Ray, Jeff, Lester, Steve W, Eric K were around. These players have been extremely long-suffering like Steve. Then Ralph retired, Gary graduated, Darrell was fired, and school/athletic administration failed (F-) at capitalizing on the success and decided to just rest on the laurels of the 70s through early/mid 90’s. Shame! Brent B and Corey B have been very supportive but like me may have gotten “fatigued” and exhausted after 30 years of apathy of investment by administration. Roberto deserves a lot of credit as well. This HAS to be top priority, IMMEDIATELY. Thanks very much guys, the most important Beaver pod I’ve heard, perhaps ever.

Kirk Schultz said he wouldnt retire until Wazzu had a conference figured out. He announced retirement in June of 2025. Baseball team lost no one to the portal and Gymnastics was mentioned in May as possible to join big12. WAZZU new AD mentioned few weeks ago that a new conference or plan is coming soon for WAZZU. All of these things point in the direction of potential invitation. Mountain west put pressure on us also because we wouldnt commit to the scheduling agreement next year.

No matter how much we love OSU and how we value OSU does not relate to what other conferences & media companies value OSU & WSU. I understand viewing the Beavs with orange colored glasses, but that sometimes matches how thing are viewed by people making the decisions. On the B12 having a deal to take the PAC12, not going to happen. Stay away from the narcotics, because that ship has sailed. Commish Yormark is looking East to the ACC. OSU & WSU does not bring the value to add. Even Bob Thompson (retired FOX Sports President) rated the PAC2 around 8-10 million per team. Whilner, Canzano & others have also said this. That 255 million war chest will be 28 million less out to the MWC for 2 years of games. There are other expenses the will cut into the chest including expenses for 2024, 2025 & other items. Kurk Schulz has even said the path forward will need to be chosen by Jan/Feb of 2025. The WSU & OSU ADs stating spending will be at a P5 level is I believe an attempt to influence recruits,, current players, doners, and fans. I believe the play is to wait to see how far the ACC may implode. This may open possible options to either go to the ACC to be part of a Western block, or to see if Stanford, CAL, & SMU get left out in the cold. I doubt Stanford would ever want to associate with the Beavs, Cougs or the MWC teams. I think the most likely outcome of the ACC will be a partial implosion with a lower media deal and minus FSU, Clemson & UNC or a few others. The ACC will most likely to look to Memphis, Tulane, & S. Florida U. The PAC2 will likely do some form of merger with the MWC, but the PAC2 needs to hold on to as much of that chest as possible because there will be another shake up 5-6 years down the road. The PAC2 can not afford to go independent, they are looked at & treated now as a G5 (except for the CFP). The G5 get 1.8 million per team for the CFP, UCONN(independent) gets 360k. PAC2 Commissioner Gould got OSU & WSU 3.6 million per team for two years. As for the CFP selection the PAC2 will be treated as independents. Face it, the chances of the PAC2 getting picked into the P4 are slim & none. I hope for the best but want OSU & WSU to plan for an extended stay in the G5. GO BEAVS!!!

First time watching this show & it was great. However, the necklace guy was a dumb ass. I am retired but worked in electronic with high voltage equipment you have to be careful around all electricity, both AC & DC voltage. It looks to kill you if you are not careful. I feel like the national audience is going to root for the underdog Beavers/Pac 12 conference which is being destroyed/dismantled by Phil Knight/NIKE NIL money. Re: Spring games: Speaking of the quacks, who better to make a big deal of watching 2 hours of backups and non-starters run around and sort of make plays and sort of tackle. I’ve been to many OSU spring games and within minutes thinking oh yeah this is really all the team does. It’s silly for an athletic dept to put resources into hyping that. But quacks love to be quacks and dress up like quacks just to be around one another and dream.

JP’s son is a genius for seeing a quack in the MLB logo…. …….annnnnnnd…….. I hope to never, EVER, ….EEVVERRRR…. remember that from this point forward. 😊

Amen, its not the leaving, its the way it was done. Its the abandoning the players, its the knife in the back of the program (and all OSU sports), its the media statements and the way they were delivered, its the jumping ship at the first offer and where he went. This is what were pissed at. Be a man, be up front and honest. If nothing else the players deserved so much better.

If the Beavs want to revive this program, there are 3 candidates I would go with; Already mentioned; Jeff Tedford, Dan Hawkins the lowest percentage guy (but I would love it) would be Dennis Erickson! Bray and all of these other younger candidates, don't make any sense for this job. The job is such a unique situation right now. The person coming in, needs to be an experienced builder! BTW, Lindgren and Coach M are gone already! Go Beavs!

I feel ya! Good riddance to JS. Things kinda tipped me off last season with the handling of the Chance Nolan transfer. He lied to the media the entire time, until Chance was eventually transferring, then he had to tell the truth. The guy is a weasel! Anyway, moving forward, we need a great "builder" to come in because this is going to be a trainwreck! The portal will be filled with Beaver players! A guy like; Jeff Tedford or Dan Hawkins come to mind right away. Tedford is a miracle worker at building up programs. If you're not familiar with his career, please go look it up. He is also a former NW guy. Hawkins is a great coach that made mistakes in Boulder (and admitted it). Anyways, we fucking better not bring in a guy like Brennan or some young unproven guy. They will get trampled in this job! Guys, Smith was not that great. The main 2 coaches that helped elevate him were; Trent Bray and Coach M (2 of the most important asst. coaches on any staff). Smith failed to develop any QBs in his 6 years. He also has a losing record. The BIG10 schools will not put up with his crazy gambles and poor playcalling that essentially lose games! We can do better! Go Beavs!

I see nothing wrong with female mascots and stuff, but i feel like (personally) that mascots genders should line up with the gender of league theyre in. Mens sports get man mascots, womens sports get women mascots. I dont really have any solid reasoning behind this, it just feels right
