In todays video I start exploring 4 Pockets brilliant MIDI plugin called Progressions which if you’ve ever used Scaler 2 before you’ll like this not because it’s like Scaler in any way, it helps you build chord progressions based on mathematical theory, which music theory is strongly based on anyway. So the chances are you’re more likely to create wonderful new ideas with this that don’t sound too “familiar’, that is as opposed to resorting to song books, or chord libraries online.
In this example, I only devise perhaps one phrase and will go onto expanding this but thought it would be useful to record this to video and share nonetheless.
It is all part of the journey when exploring new tools like this.
Pure piano is ideal for the instrumentation today, as it keeps things simple and pure. Later I’ll explore adding other instruments and timbres etc etc.
