ping is more a fundemental issue with the speed of light than with valorant

are you denying that the speed of light exists? i dont understnad this response or how it could be "pseudointellectual". seems fairly obvious to that there's going to be some issues with ping with online games and that in any case there'll be a disconnect between client and server. this applies to quite literally every single online game that doesn't have massive input delay

@@61pokepi The "solution" to ping in Valorant is worse than the "issue" of ping itself. Interpolation and server prediction causes holding angles to literally be not possible against some EU smurf on 120+ ping. That's literally 1/10th of a full second added onto everything they do and see, and it should be a horrible disadvantage, yet it ends up being an advantage while peeking for them? That's wonky netcode and should be buried forever, to never see the light of day again. Check the video comparisons of high ping peeker's advantage, and how the desync of Valorant specifically, now CS2 because they're using similar methods, is 10x worse than CS:GO or any older games where ping itself just negatively affected that specific player. That was much better, and it's not even close.

other player shot quicker. tenz died 42ms before shooting from the server's perspective. clove killed him before the server could register that tenz had shot his bucky. "other player had worse ping though" would only apply if they had shot at the same time.

@@kalpek6913 Objectively not true though. Client side Tenz shot quicker. The server is what disagreed. The only skill aspect of this game is reacting to what you see client side, and on this end Tenz shot first. This seems to be a semantic issue, because I understand what you're saying, but my argument is that would cause the game to genuinely be a coin toss in all aspects if that's how it actually works.

@@Ribcut yes, the server disagreed because on the server side the other player’s shot hit the server first, because they shot first. if you really think that whatever happens on the client side visually should be law, then you should only participate on lan events where there is no delay between client and server (or it’s insignificantly low). tenz did shoot second, it looks like he shot first on his end because of the reasons i explained before. if you’re saying he “shouldn’t have died, and the other player should’ve died because on tenz’ client he shot first”, then the same issue we see in this clip right now, wouldve happened on the other players screen and they would have been robbed since they actually shot first. tenz wasn’t robbed like that here, because he shot second.

All bullets are hitscan in this. There is no travel time. Also, the pepper of his shot can be seen many frames before he is dead

@@shubhamverma6782 They're all on military grade copium. The server desync exists for everyone, and has nothing to do with individual ping.
