Sitting down and watching a game episode for 60 minutes is unimaginable for a lot of people, especially those who’ve grown up on this constant endorphin slurry. Heck, just look at the difference in numbers between the regular vids and the VODs, and more than that, look at the folks horrified by the idea that there’s *gasp!* chat at the beginning! Even just having to take the 20 seconds to manually jump to their fix is enough to give them the shakes, and make them run at the mouth in the comments to boot. See, now, stuff like this is why I enjoy the pre-game chat. The madlings can be an absolute riot, and it’s really wonderful to see folk being supportive of each other. You want to know how I learned to make it to the midgame? When it felt like things were unbalanced and starting to tumble again, I told myself “Very well! Then this will be the colony that collapses!”. I kinda... gave myself permission to fail. Halfway through chat you were talking about cooling things back down. I have to say Nectar is an awesome coolant before super coolant. It works like water but stays liquid VERY into the negatives and will let you cool things well enough for even the bon bon trees and the unicorn seals (wrong name of course)

That first spot you were thinking to do the rad bolt generator in the water could supplement the one you ended up putting in. Looks like it could hit the reflector if you aim it up and to the right. Would help when you start cranking through that research.

On the blueprint rant, I do not think that duplicates should be possible at all. There are a LOT of possible blueprints, with the number of hours to unlock and the fact that it's gated to 3 a week, it will already take a significant amount of time to unlock ALL of them even if duplicates were not possible. The average player will already not play enough hours to unlock that many, so getting duplicates just feels bad.

I saw you answer a question about ceres how warm sweaters fix the cold dupes…for the most part true however do not enter a frozen core without an atmo suit. Warm sweaters do not protect from that cold and dupes take damage from extreme cold now just like heat. Just a PSA no dupes were harmed in testing :)

What if you put the critter drop off in the drecko ranch up on that neutronium ledge? You could make it accessible to dupes via ladders from the left side of the ranch, then include another mealwood if needed.

As far as I can tell, all the new features in the DLC are extremely complimentary with the other features, such that, unlike the vanilla start, makes your base completely sustainable without having to explore space. It's kind of easy mode really.

Ive also never understood the want for a Doctor / Decorator, i personally think its more effective to have 2 dupes good at other things. My though is they will rarely Doctor or Decorate, so have a Good rancher, farmer, cook, researcher who can also do one of the other things.

On the pre-stream chatter. While I don't often watch it, I can't understand why people would complain... beauty of a VOD is that you can skip to the start of gameplay (which is usually what I do). Have you ever considered adding a timestamp to the videos to make it easier for those who want to skip chatter and break sections?
