FRANCIS NGANNOU - THE MOVIE (Documentary)
Now known as the hardest recorded puncher in the world, and the 5th pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC rankings, Francis Ngannou, the heavy-weight champion of the world, lived a much different life before making his way to MMA stardom. To take a deep dive into the life he once lived, it’s essential that we go back a few years to the time of baby Francis, born on September 5, 1986, in the Batié village in Cameroon.
As a kid, Francis Ngannou and his family lived in poverty, and he had very little formal education. This made things worse for his parents, and when he turned six years of age, his parents got a divorce and sent him to live with his aunt.
At just age 10, Francis got a job at a sand quarry in the Batié village in the hope of making some extra income for himself and his family. A sand quarry is a place where sand is extracted so it can be sold to other users. Just as you would expect, this is an arduous job, especially since sand becomes quite heavy in large amounts. This is the kind of back-breaking work that Francis was doing from age 10.
During his childhood, Francis’ father was a street fighter and was very well known in the village for getting into brawls on the streets. People in the village would mock Francis and his family over his father’s behavior. As Francis grew up, he was approached by a couple of street gangs in his village who wanted him to become a part of their gangs. He refused and used his father’s negative rep as a street fighter as the motivation he needed to pursue something more respectable.
Fast forward to 12 years after he started working at the sand quarry, Francis Ngannou decided to start training in boxing, even though his family was against it. This didn’t stop him from training, and he kept at it for one year until he had to stop due to illness. From the age of 23 to 26, Francis Ngannou did various odd jobs to survive and make ends meet.
As he became an adult, he ended up frustrated with his life's direction. He saw no opportunity with the life he had, and he came to believe that there was hardly any chance of him achieving greatness in Cameroon. He always wanted a better life for himself, a way to provide and take care of his family, and the opportunity to fulfill a dream he had deep inside as he always believed that he was destined for greatness. With that in mind, at 26 years old, he decided to migrate to Paris, France, to pursue a career in professional boxing.
Talking about his life in his village and his migration to Cameroon has never been pleasant for this MMA superstar. He usually speaks in a quiet voice that drops to almost inaudible levels when he’s hard-pressed to remember the trouble that drove him to seek a new path. Clearly, he doesn’t particularly enjoy talking about his decision to leave a life of abject poverty in the hopes of finding something-literally anything-better in a foreign land.
He once said, “I left Cameroon just to try and have a life, to survive. When I was in Cameroon, I just didn’t see a way. I could survive, but that’s about it.” With that notion and a little more than a dream, one most people would have considered an unrealistic one at that, Francis Ngannou packed up his bags and made the journey of over 3,100 miles from Cameroon to France in the hopes of finding a better life. In a country where the average citizen takes home roughly $1,300 per year, he believed the prospects of a bright future were slim, but they existed nonetheless.
Francis Ngannou’s dream of becoming a professional boxer was fueled by a love for watching prime Mike Tyson, and this made him think that boxing might provide a way out of poverty. He said, “He was the youngest guy to be the champion, 18 or 19 or something like that, and I knew I couldn’t do what he did. But I still believed that I could do something great.” Francis planned at least to take a shot at the life he always dreamed about, and if it didn’t work out, he would move on. However, he knew that he needed persistence and perseverance. He said, “It won’t happen if you don’t try. I said to myself to give some time to my dream. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m going to try.”

I heard Khamzat’s mother was the town hooker? And he wanted to stop it? And is now taking care of his retired hooker mom!
I like Kumshot, but…..Bo Nickal would rag doll him! Easy….
Brave 🔥
Khamzat the wolf 🐺.
We will fight fight and fought.
The way he lifted that dude and started running running around and yelling at Dana was too funny, lol. This dude seems insane and I love it
This dude needs a legit movie made about his life. I'm not saying this video isn't good, but he needs like a Hollywood movie made about his story, man. It's so interesting and inspirational. One of the most inspirational stories I think I've ever heard
Khamzat,Islam and Khabib. Like one person:).
First khabib time but now charles time soon islam time
If no one knows , his name is hamza ..the k is silent . And hamza means a lion 🦁 of ALLAH in Arabic .
Even Danas privilege cannot save the Western fighters like poatan from him. Let him hide them from the wolf for sometime more. He is coming for everybody🔥🔥🔥
It’s crazy seeing Colby’s journey but I’m not sure how true what he says is true bout being cut. Nobody has ever confirmed that shit
I honestly feel soo f sorry for aldo, The corner meggreger dude is very good at destroying others mentally before getting into a fight and that was one of his greatest tactics but he couldn’t do that with the sharp mindset of khabib that is one of sharpest and wisest mentality on the face of this earth the human beings could adopt with one the strongest and bravest hearts on this planet which comes with that sharp mindset, and I say with my mind heart and soul on it. Another example is 2pac shakur who conquered the media today these thugs are dominant in America and the dominant culture in America today is hip hop, Malcom X planted this seed which sparked up in the 90, and started growing rapidly and overcome the power and strength of the weak lying hypocritical cowardly hearts of the rulers in America and conquered the lies of the media and turned the tables around for the American government with that sharp mentality with a reasonable sincere heart inside of sensible human being with a true heart of a real gentleman with a heart of a real man that is a true heart of a real brave soldier.
Gotta make one on poatan man
19:30 "ok, back to bellator" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good guy
Bro the difference between Khamzat and Conor is like the difference between Bologna and Steak. Khamzat is Bologna. I cant believe they compared an icon like McGregor to a pos like Khamzat
*March 2020 (Pre UFC 248: w/Yoel Romero):* Seven Thousand Miles Away, *Alex Pereira* takes a closer look at the Television that is playing in the background. As he watches he begins to feel a burning feeling of being challenged. *And Whenever there's a challenge, no one can hold him back.* He just so happened to be actively seeking out a New challenge. This Very Snippet of Sporting News in Australia playing in front of him in that Very moment *not only Confirms BUT cements that The UFC Was It!* *Izzy did an Interview, (likely 1 of dozens he'd done that day) reflecting on his only KO loss to Alex Pereira, how it helped him “grow” & his views on the guy were as follows….* *“He’s a fcking nobody! I've Never Ever Watched Any Of His Fights, Ever! So At The End Of The day, Nobody Even knows Who The Fck He Is! He's Gunna Be That Guy When I'm A World Champion & Legend… He'll Be At Some Pub Talking Sh!t Bout I Beat That Guy One Time Whilst Trying To Get His D!ck Sucked By A Crack Wh0re Or Some Sh1t”* Alex Pereira : *”And I took that personally…”* ………. Alex Pereira (who wasn’t even in MMA full time at that point) watches this one little *90 second clip* > really Motivates TF & Ignites a *FIRE* underneath him...... so much so that… *7 Months Later > signs with LFA,* *A few months later > he was getting knockouts in LFA,* *12 Months later > he made his UFC debut with another knockout,* *1 Year in The UFC > he fights for & WiNS The Title & Belt at MSG!* *2Years into The UFC > becomes 2 Division Champion* *2.5 Years into The UFC > Headlines UFC 300 1st title defence at Light HW* ...... *So Izzy could have been the greatest middleweight of all time, but shitty trash talk & lack of humility made him lose his belt.* *Plot twist: -- Izzy at the bar* *“I almost beat Pereira 3 times… I was gonna freeze him like Elsa, but I should’ve stayed silent like Ariel”* *“While I rule Europe, the British are gonna be in some pub somewhere going ‘I beat that guy once’”* -- *Napoleon, 1815, the night before the Battle of Waterloo*
Masterpiece documentary Sir!
Bro got 10 million views and disappeared
He was too confident
Burnes Stopped the Hype Train 😊
He announce his retirement because a doctor said that he had cancer and not because of covid other than that the documentary was awesome
This isn't the style bender movie is it
After CHIMAEV faced BURNS I noticed he is a little more standoffish with his opponents because in my opinion Burns really stood up to him and did damage like nobody did before. It was one of the best UFC Fights I have seen. Look how he fought Usman he was not fighting him like he always did before. He was more standoffish and did not press like he usually did before Burns.
Africans are going to run the game for a long time? - All races have great fighters. Russians, Brazilians, Mexicans, Caucasians - list goes on. Come on man. Fighting is not racist! Is Dricus African?
Our Superman ❤
Khamza and daren till friendship is another level
Crazy part is, Colby could’ve let them release him and he could’ve very well succeeded in another promotion..
he will be champion. i have the same love for my mother. khamzat is a true warrior
Documentaries are good.
Ngannou's revelation at 44:12 was pretty eye-opening. That's the mentality of a true winner who is truly only competing to perfect himself. Our channel just released a short MMA doc about amateur mixed martial arts in Vegas, would you check it out and let us know what you think?
